His dad/family moved to West Branch to be near his son and coach the football team. Shortly thereafter the townsfolk came at them with torches and pitchforks they had to leave town. Nestor transferred out shortly thereafter. Or something like that.

There are those reasons about his family but he also played in some Iowa games and maybe started one and he was replaced. He has turned out to be a very good player but he had some starters ahead of him at Iowa.

I and my wife never thougth of moving to Iowa City when our kids were both is school there. Interesting.

Nestor started at Michigan st and got absolutely roasted by Aiden Chiles, after that fiasco Phil benched his ***. Between the situation with his family at West Branch and John not quite ready for prime time the decision was made to row his boat up north to Minnesota.

What exactly happened at West branch? I saw his dad coached on successful year and the school president wrote an op Ed basically as a public apology for how poorly his dad was treated by the community

Maybe, but helicopter parents are a cancer on programs, and veteran coaches don;t put up with that.

What are you talking about? Nestor should have been a target to throw at on Saturday as he’s been a liability for the rodents. But I get it Dad, you’ve got to defend your son’s marginal play.
