I think Lance Storm is one of the very few wrestlers I’ve heard just flat out say ‘no, I should have never been champ. It’d have been terrible.’ He will flat out say ‘my promos weren’t good enough and I was too short’.
The Rock comes across as humble about wrestling sometimes. I’m sure it’s a lot of false modesty, but despite calling himself ‘the most electrifying’ he’ll be the first to credit other wrestlers for helping him and working with him. And he never seemed to have a problem putting someone over if he knew it would help the product as a whole.
