So who does NU hire to replace the 4 coaches let go. Dominic Raiola has to be one, right? For obvious reasons.
Lawrence Phillips?Tommie Frazier - quarterbacks
Lawrence Phillips - running backs
Dominic Raiola - offensive line
Johnny Rodgers - special teams
There better be some lock-down recruiters in that group.I think the article from Husker Online said that they believe a new offensive staff would be assembled by the 28th of this month. So yeah this probably was put in motion a few weeks ago.
Wonder what that pitch will look like?Makes me wonder if they (or at least Trev) have been in contact with an Offensive Coordinator to come in. It wouldnt surprise me a bit.
Tom Herman OC/QB coach. Then when SF flames out, Herman is already a proven Group 5 Head Coach.Does anyone know of any OC's?? We have 2.8M freed up in salary pool right now. Give 1.5 mil to a stud OC.. replace the QB coach position (SF can be the QB coach) and make a new special teams full time coordinator. Pay all those guys ~500k average and we are good

Stop posting rational statements. Just stopToo much is made of hiring coaches under these circumstances. Look at most any coach and you will see a list of one year stops so this is part of the game. The fact that it is all offensive coaches makes a difference as well. It's not like there were wholesale changes across the board on both sides of the ball.
Good assistants know and can evaluate what they are coming in to. There is good experience, great fan support, new facilities and only one way to go. I think you will be surprised at how many guys would jump for this opportunity.
Yes, didn’t you hear he’s not in prison anymore?Lawrence Phillips?
That works for Arkansas State and Northern Iowa, and now Nebraska.Too much is made of hiring coaches under these circumstances. Wonder about Dominic’s brother Donovan, currently assistant OL coach for the Bears, was a GA for Notre Dame at one point, played at Wisconsin under Alvarez. Worked under Mark Helfrich so has a connection to someone Frost has worked with beyond his brother’s Nebraska ties.So who does NU hire to replace the 4 coaches let go. It’s just for 2 gamesComplete and utter **** show of a staff

He was paroled?Yes, didn’t you hear he’s not in prison anymore?

Yes, but they have to coach our offense. What does that have going for it?Too much is made of hiring coaches under these circumstances. I don’t think Adrian comes back now.Wonder what that pitch will look like?
"Yeah, you're going to run the same **** offense we run every year here with a kid under center vying to be the all time loss leader at his position. If I were you, I wouldn't spend too much time decorating your office. Just sayin'"
IF I were him I would be feeling awfully guilty for all of the bad game decisions I made over the past couple of years. It has to feel pretty shi##y to think that you contributed to people losing their jobs.I don’t think Adrian comes back now.
Dingle. As an athlete, you know as well as I, if, and I say IF you gave everything you had every game, there should not be any guilt. Yeah, he screws up, so do other players, but in a 60 minute football game, there will always have been this play or that play that decided a close game.IF I were him I would be feeling awfully guilty for all of the bad game decisions I made over the past couple of years. He made horrible decisions game after game. He cost us the Minnesota game almost all by himself. One game he would play very well and the next he would go brain dead making high school mistakes. Great talent. Great kid. Not a great QB.Dingle. As an athlete, you know as well as I, if, and I say IF you gave everything you had every game, there should not be any guilt. He played hurt, he always did the after the game press. He just didn't get it done in the clutch enough time to change the outcome.
Show me one time when I ever said he was a great QB. I've made 527 posts, so just find one.He made horrible decisions game after game. He cost us the Minnesota game almost all by himself.
