CC Peppers on College Avenue was my favorite. I've heard its back
Is that true? Please let it be true!

I loved it in the early 90s when there were maybe 4 or 5 CC Peppers locations around town.

i still try to hit the one on North Atherton when I’m up in State College

One other nostalgic memory hitting me from this thread: ordering late night hot wings from Penn State Sub Shop. Actually my first exposure to wings.

They’d deliver them to you in a big tall styrofoam cup with a lid, of all things. Drenched in bright orange hot sauce that would pool pretty deep at the bottom of the cup. Always with a smaller cup of blue cheese dressing of course.

Holy ****, do I ever have the munchies now :O

We used to get wings at Silver Screen Grill attached to the Days Inn downtown. IIRC Wed night was all you can eat wing night for like $4. Today at my local wing joints $4 might get you 2 wings if you're lucky.

Penn State Sub Shops were very underrated. You could get a half a regular w/ all that oil and vinegar on it for like $2.25. Also their grilled Canadian Bacon subs were top notch.

Back in my day (late seventies) it was a hot dog joint…
