Even though Taylor hasn't played much other than special teams, this is where having treated your players right may pay off. You run off guys and piss off their coach and you don't get a shot at kids from that school anymore.

Yep. HS coaches spend a lot of time with these kids. If a kid gets “run off”, in many instances it’s not a surprise to them.

I don't believe it is a "hey they treated x great so you need to go there" More so "hey my experience with X University was positive for other players, they took care of the guys who do it the right way stayed out of trouble".

No doubt it depends on WHY a kid gets processed. IF you run a guy like Taylor off who has done everything the right way but just got injured, well I don't think any high school coach worth his salt would like that. NU takes care of it's players and at the very least tries to be sure they get a marketable degree if things don't work out on the field.
