Whatever you sayYeah, that wasn't an opinion.
The black chick they got here based on the trailer looks like a walking stereotype straight out of a Tyler Perry movie. No thanks.
Yep.....it is called......The Fur Traders.Think this is bad? Now I hear they are re-making Brokeback Mountain with Mila Kunis and Kate Upton.
Actually, that's not a bad idea...
The SWJs.Who thought this would be a good idea? The notion that you could shove this down people's throats made about as much sense as saying you can make guys watch the WNBA -- or that if you started a version of The View with four obnoxious, loud mouthed men guys AND women would watch it.
Plus, the trailer pushed the stereotype of black women to the edge of racist. And, this is thirty years later, the African American doesn't have to be the sewer worker. And the effects look to be roughly on the par of those Wayans parody movies.
Anywhere from $100 to $200 mil at the box office. Feig has had some box office success with The Heat, Bridesmaids, and Spy. The all female cast has a strong possibility of hurting it, but if it ends up being funny then it won't matter. It comes out in July and this year's July lineup is week. I'll make a prediction of $149 million. Strong opening but drops fast.
People that follow this stuff closer than I do, and I follow it pretty close, have it making a lot more than my number. I could be wrong. I was very wrong on Dead Pool this year and Spectre last year. The Ghostbusters name will bring a lot of people out initially regardless of the cast. A strong opening and falls fast. I'm sticking with it.No way it makes this kinda of money unless every card carrying feminist watches it non stop for a week straight.

Who is the target audience for this BS?
I'm going to say it plays poorly over seas. It's going to be a disappointment. When you factor in the price of tickets, the lack of competition that weekend, and the fact that it will be in a lot of 3D/imax theaters, $149 mil isn't that hard to obtain for a summer blockbuster with name recognition. If you're talking domestic box office, I think it's a pretty good guess. I'd go towards the high end of your range and say it gets to $200M. Considering a $154M budget, that'll be a disappointment. I have no idea how something like this will play overseas.
Gonna be the biggest flop ever.
You lasted longer than I did. I barely got past the intro.Jesus tap dancing christ, I thought it was bad then Missy started her rap and took it to alltime suck level.
Same here. You lasted longer than I did. I barely got past the intro.
Exec 1: Let's also make a movie in order to make the SJWs happy!!!Exec 1: "Let's take the most famous theme song in film history and replace it with diarrhea!"
Exec 2: "DO IT."

Thank you all brave souls for doing what I could not. I knew it would suck, but I was close to going to see it because I loved the first two so much. I can sleep well at night.
Yeah. Those chicks are hardly on TV and in movies at all, except all the time.
