No. The helmets you seen yesterday were not the finished product.
I'm not overly wild about the new blue wildcat logo on the chrome helmet. But, it may look a lot better when paired with the rest of the uniform. IDK.
However, the new graphite helmet, with the new blue wildcat logo on it, looks very nice! In fact, it looks very, very nice!

After thinking about it, I believe that the new logo may need to be larger or adding a stripe might help it. I think that may be why I didn't like the chrome one quite as much. It may be too much chrome and not enough blue. Oh well, I'm sure that the finished product will look nice,
In general I'm not a chrome fan. Too fancy for my taste. It also makes it hard to distinguish any design you put on it.

I know what you mean, but if it was a blue chrome with a white cat I think it would be more noticeable. Even a white cat on the silver chrome might stand out more.

When I heard there was a uniform unveiling, I dared to have hope.
Well, my hopes and dreams went down the toilet big time.

I really like the chrome domes, that we currently have, when paired with the black jerseys. That was a very sharp combo, IMHO!
Does the new logo remind anyone else of KSU? So we change the "UK" to resemble the Houston design, and now the new aggressive looking wildcat has a Kansas St feel to it. Not that I really care about the redesign of "UK", and I actually think the new wildcat is kinda cool, but would have thought that us being Kentucky we would have gotten something completely original.
I think chrome one is awesome, like the white, a classic look. I am just not a fan of the flat finish look on much of anything. Like a fish, like bright and shiney I guess.

The old UK logo looked just as much like the UH logo as the new UK logo. No, the new secondary does not look like the KSU logo. Go look at the KSU logo, and you'll realize that they're really not similar.
You would have though us being Kentucky, we would get something original. To get an original logo, you need an original team name, and the Wildcats, as much as I love that team name and would never want it to be changed, it is not original. There are tons of other schools named the Wildcats, or the Bobcats, or things along those lines, thus, making it impossible to have a truly original logo that isn't so ridiculously over-the-top, that you protest the athletics department for it.
Just facts. Not trying to be a d-bag or anything, but man, people have really worn out the whole UH/KSU thing. It's grossly overplayed at this point.

really, you don't think this looks awful similar to Kansas St? and for the record, we are THE WILDCATS!!! Despite other teams with similar mascots, we have always had a unique symbol! If you like the new one, cool...if you don't cool. Don't act like it couldn't have been more original and unique to the university of Ky though. We are THE WILDCATS!!! Everyone else is a pretender!

The UK logo makes the K-State logo look terrible and it's not even close... love the new logo...
Love the new helmets, thank god they didn't do away with the center stripe.
I still just see two birds embraced in a romantic moment when I look at the secondary logo haha. Like the look of everything together though.

That's a good catch and I see it after reading your post. Now it begs the question, which is worse, two birds having sex, or a penis in a wildcats mouth? I think I'll go with the two birds having sex.
other than the fact that all cats kinda look the same... no they don't look anything alike. my housecat kinda looks like a lion and he doesn't look anything like a lion. lol
Yeah, those two designs are considerably different. Granted, there are only so many damn ways one can make a Wildcat's head, so there will surely be some similarities. But these are about as different as one could make them.
Oh, and for those who think UK's new logo looks like two birds humping, take a close look at the K-State logo. It looks like a mountain road leading into a tunnel. I'd never really noticed that before now.
Awesome designs/colors, but my god, that logo looks like the flying dog/dragon (Falcor?) from the NeverEnding Story. Just awful.
