I never said the designs were identical, and I even said I liked the new logo. What I said was that I saw similarities between the two, enough to where I noticed. I like the new one just wish it stood on it's own a bit more.

I think the issues people are having with comparing it to teams like Kansas State is because it is sideways with a similar styling. It doesn't mean it looks like a carbon copy of it. Our wildcat always looked straight ahead. Couldn't they have taken this new styling and gave it a forward looking design? Then it wouldn't look like a staple puller or two birds humping. They should have gotten multiple designs and let the students and fans vote on it since we are the ones that will be buying and wearing it. I honestly think they are going to sell a lot less merchandise because of how many people are not fans of it. I barely buy Nike as it is due to the cost (not spending $25 on a t-shirt). I sure won't be spending that kind of money on a product I don't like.
So, no one is now ever again able to use the abstract profile of a wildcat? Let's stop with this KState stuff.
