I'm actually starting to wonder if we will ever get a shot at another 5 star qb again? since I started following recruiting Blaine Gabbert was the only 5 star qb we had a shot at. before him and after we seem to never get a sniff at the 5 star level qbs, which I don't get at all. we aren't some no name, small level school, hell we don't even get sniffs with 5 star dual threat qbs. what gives?

Kaz , is Gebbia next year our main target at QB? Or are we in on any other qbs of this level? I'd be more then fine adding Gebbia with O'Brien, just curious if we have another qb up there incase Gebbia doesn't commit.

Since Blaine Gabbert, our coaching staff changed and our coaches seemed to settle for 4 star guys, I'm guessing. I can't say this definitively as I have never had inside information... But it is a lot harder to land 5 star talent from your car.

Probably because there aren't too many 5-star duel-threat QBs available.
2010: 0
2011: 0
2012: 1 (Winston)
2013: 0
2014: 1
2015: 0
2016: 2

I'm sure you don't mean literally 5-star to an extent, but there just aren't many to go after.

Aren't there only 25 five star players? A few of them will be QB's, but 4* is where people are making hay since there are so many more to go after.

Yeah...I HATE it when our coaches "settle" for those lowly sucky 4 star players....
