is absolutely terrible.

A ton of UK fans use KSR for quick access to updates and Wildcat related stories, and the beauty of the site has always been its scroll-ability and simplicity.

Now, its clunky, weighed down by obnoxious advertisements everywhere, and not even easily accessible comments on stories.

I know a lot of people complain about Matt Jones, but I've always respected what he's done with KSR. This, however, is a really bad move that's gonna turn a lot of people away.

I was wondering what was up. I have to sit and wait 10 seconds or more when I log on there before I even attempt to scroll down.

If your site isn't mobile friendly, Google will no longer list you toward the top of search results. It was done out of necessity. It looks just like the app.

It's not very pretty but the old one crashed my chrome browser on iPhone constantly. Not sure if the new one fixed this but here is hoping. The adverts are sized wrong for mobile and it makes me chuckle a bit when more than half the banner isn't visible.

But the other one was way more mobile friendly. It was perfect, actually.
Not according to Google. I like it better.
It sucks. It really does. Won't visit it again.

If anything it'll increase traffic.

New site? I must have missed the memo. A KSR site redesign, or a totally new site? The one I've been going to looks the same.

Just the mobile website if you're looking at it on a phone or tablet and haven't told it to give you the desktop version.

I think it's fine. Most people are not going to like it even if it's better just because it's different. It looks great and works great on my phone. Almost Identical to the app. If it's slow/jittery/crashing for you, it's most likely an issue with the device you're using.

Meh...it's fine. I'm glad that the boys can make some $$ off of their stuff. If your phone doesn't render that site well you need a new phone. On mine it is smooth and works OK. If I get too sick of the ads I'll pay to remove them. Just acknowledge that KSR grew into a legit site so the 1988 BBS style of the thing has to go - in order to cash in on the clicks. Long live capitalism...

On a mobile device, just request desktop site and you'll bbe back to the way it was.

for example

Thanks! In my opinion the actual desktop site is even more mobile friendly than the new "mobile" site. Others may enjoy the setup, but I'm a creature of habit I guess.

HEre is how the old site looked on a phone (shown by clicking request desktop site on Chrome). It's awful, you can't even read the text of the article

Old site with it zoomed in to show just the article and not the side bar. Still awful, text is barely readable.

Here is what the new mobile site looks like on a phone. Drastically better. Can see the same amount of content upon opening the article that you could on the zoomed in old site but the text is easily readable without having to zoom in or anything.

Old site was garbage on phones. New site is ugly on phones but more a thousand times more mobile friendly, so it's better as far as I'm concerned.

It was exactly like the desktop...just go to the site and scroll down, read everything without having to click one damn thing.

Now we have choices which is cool.

Sure, but then you'd have to zoom in to the content, and if that wasn't enough, zoom in even more and scroll back and forth (left to right) to read the article. It was terrible and the complete antithesis of mobile friendliness.

But now I also don't have to scroll past an entire article if I don't want to read it, like the stupid article about KAT in a Katy Perry music video. And that comes in handy, because the vast majority of the articles I have no interest in beyond the headline or one sentence if even that much.
