Hadn’t seen any media reports on this, but they just introduced a new bill in North Carolina to give UNC more options for NIL.
I’m not sure if this is an indication that they’re concerned about UNC’s ability to compete, but it’s designed to allow athletes to keep more of their money and to help local business afford to spend more money on NIL. No idea how much support the bill has at the moment.
