I talked to Edgy Tim and got his scouting report on Aidan Gray.
Edgy knows a hell of a lot more about evaluating local high school talent than most of the experts on this board do.I talked to Edgy Tim and got his scouting report on Aidan Gray.
How is that possible.Edgy knows a hell of a lot more about evaluating local high school talent than most of the experts on this board do.
He definitely has an edge in that regardEdgy knows a hell of a lot more about evaluating local high school talent than most of the experts on this board do.
Yeah he's pretty sharp, and knows how to whet our appetites for more info...He definitely has an edge in that regard
Have a drink, relax. This guy is a good prospect and is not going anywhere.Yeah he's pretty sharp, and knows how to whet our appetites for more info...
Ok enough Dad jokes.
I'm a typical NU fan, scarred by past problems. What if he develops well and gets other offers? We had good luck with the two-way firm commit in the past, but a lot of leakage in recent years. It's like we're in an 80's teen movie, where the nerdy girl has a date to the prom with her best friend, but the guy jilts her as soon as the cheerleader shows interest.
I just want a functional, recruited QB. We've had like 2 in the last 10-12 years
What was that Rebel II post about an eagle getting a bugle stuck up his arse?Yeah he's pretty sharp, and knows how to whet our appetites for more info...

You're right, of course. I'm just sick of bad QB play. I actually don't mind if we continue to get transfers, but the hit-and-miss nature of transfers and the "all miss" of recruiting has been discouraging. I don't have confidence that Hilinski is the answer, and they other guys, Richardson and Sullivan, were, apparently, the 4th and 5th best QBs on a bad team. We cannot continue to be last in scoring offense, especially with the JON sh1tshow going on.What was that Rebel II post about an eagle getting a bugle stuck up his arse?
The list of HS QBs who can walk in and start right away is very, very short. Even a lot of top rated guys flame out. I am more than happy to stake multiple (annual) bets on 3 star development kids, especially ones from the area, as I think they are most likely to stick around.
After all the drama over Deuce (barely played), Cale Millen (probably working at In-N-Out), Atkinson, Meredith ("18 and Life" by Skid Row comes to mind), etc, I am thrilled to put the annual drama to rest with Lausch and Gray.
Well I don't know, Molly Ringwald prevailed over the cool girl in Sixteen Candles, and that happened even though Michael Anthony Hall tried to get in the way. I'm hoping NU's story will turn out like that.Yeah he's pretty sharp, and knows how to whet our appetites for more info...

CITC, in your example, WE are Anthony Michael Hall and the other schools are Jake.Well I don't know, Molly Ringwald prevailed over the cool girl in Sixteen Candles, and that happened even though Michael Anthony Hall tried to get in the way. I'm hoping NU's story will turn out like that.
Along those lines, then suppose we're also Ally Sheedy in Breakfast Club and the guy who played "Duckie" in Pretty in Pink - the extent of my volume of knowledge of 80s teens flics - characters that didn't get what they wanted but who still came out ahead.CITC, in your example, WE are Anthony Michael Hall and the other schools are Jake.
But - in the end, he got the cool girl AND the Rolls Royce, so...
Nope, in Breakfast Club we are again Anthony Michael Hall, the poindexter that does everyone's work while the other two guys get the girls. The girls in this case are the recruits.Along those lines, then suppose we're also Ally Sheedy in Breakfast Club and the guy who played "Duckie" in Pretty in Pink - the extent of my volume of knowledge of 80s teens flics - characters that didn't get what they wanted but who still came out ahead.
Wow! I am feeling very old. My idea of a teen movie is "Rebel Without a Cause". Of course, It is hard to top Natalie Wood in any decade. That said, I cannot see her serving as a HS football player in even the wildest analogy ever conceived.Nope, in Breakfast Club we are again Anthony Michael Hall, the poindexter that does everyone's work while the other two guys get the girls. Sixteen candles outcome better. We get the girl and the NIL (Rolls Royce)
According to that Wisconsin Badger fan, we are Long Duck Dong.Along those lines, then suppose we're also Ally Sheedy in Breakfast Club and the guy who played "Duckie" in Pretty in Pink - the extent of my volume of knowledge of 80s teens flics - characters that didn't get what they wanted but who still came out ahead.
