New ranking for Mo?

Is it too much to expect for the match against ISU to be a top 5 matchup? I know he was #8 and just beat #4 but I’m not sure how much he can jump if the guys above him didn’t lose.

Also, how long has it been since someone made the jump from D3 to D1 and had this kind of success? I’m assuming what he’s done so far is somewhat unprecedented.

Its early but his accomplishments really are unprecedented. Maybe someone has some historical content but he could be making history this year. He is most certainly going to be fun to watch this year.

Last night he wrestled strategically, not scared. He knew he better not get stuck underneath Stout so waited for his opportunity when Stout was on his knees and a little off balance. On paper, looks like an upset but he looks all of that he can beat him if they meet again.

True. Mo needs to understand that. We saw Glazier (Ice Man) come out of nowhere a couple of years and then turtle up at Nattys and fall early.

It's nice he will be ranked even higher for that match. I've learned it's better to enjoy the journey of the season, versus judging the whole season based on what happens in March. This is especially true in these years where it's virtually impossible for Penn State to lose no matter what anybody anywhere does. Iowa vs. Iowa State is a big deal to me.

We have a fun team. They'd be contenders in decades past, so enjoy the lineup. If we beat Okie State again in a couple months we'll have tied the all-time series. That's the things I’m looking forward to.

Still, Glazier sure made it happen that year! How many duals did he seal for us? 3? Loved watching him that year!

Not defending them, but not to many people outside of the Iowa fan base are going to give our guys any type of credit. Just remember if they are whining our guys are doing something right, I think big Mo is just getting started and look forward to seeing him continue to get better throughout the year.

I believe they mean the pressure of competing in Carver got to his opponent.

I’m pretty sure a janitor offers the opposing team Carver ice cream cones after weighing in. The ones who take him up on the offer apparently get distracted from their mission and many take unexpected losses.allegedly. But you didn’t hear that from me….

I think MO has another gear he has not hit yet, IMO some of his full potential is still to come.
We have seen him touch this a few times, his speed his explosiveness the ability to hit big moves and also wrestle in every position. His Best we have not seen yet!

From growing up in Sheldon, my understanding is that TnT don’t need to double team anyone to win a fight.
