Robb told Seth he would probably be 197 in college, but I think there's a chance he ends up at 184 (with Haas going 197 after AJ). There's a 2 pound allowance at dual state, so Robb could be as high as 197, but he only weighed in at 195.3.

Blankenship said he would probably start at 125, but I'm starting to think he'll be a 133.

Ladarion Lockett will look good in Orange. Stillwater is blanking Yukon so far in the Semis. Angelo Ferrari took his guy down 9 times then pinned him.
Smith with a decision, Hughes with a major, McComas with a quick pin. As you said Lockett seems special and won by pin, Roller beat Routledge 3 to 0 with Routledge ranked 2nd at 38 and Roller 5th. Blankenship won by pin at 132 and Jersey Robb won by pin also. Voinovich won by tech and as you said Ferrari won by pin. Does anyone know what is going on with Anthony Ferrari? Oscar Williams won by major at 182 a sophomore rated 2 in the state behind Heeg.

This is/was an injury for Anthony. There has also been a discipline issue.

Smith won by decision in the finals and Hughes beat Giddens-Buttram 7 to 1. Blankenship beat McComas 3 to 1 at 32 . Sommers beat Roller 3 to 1. Lockett won by major very explosive, Voinovich won by major and Ferrari( potential superstar like his oldest brother) won by pin.

Can Angelo graduate HS a year early?

I wouldn't want him to because he needs to get bigger. But your point is well taken, that we need lots of help. I am hoping Anthony and Jordan Williams will take the 157 position for the next 2 years and then the next year 165 opens up and so they can wrestle 57 and 65. Angelo hopefully when he comes in can go 174( more likely) or 184. Also I hope that Voinovich or Travis Mastro take 149 next year. Also Carter needs this off season to grow a little and get stronger and be dominant next year.

I saw Clayton Buttram got his butt kicked pretty good. Are you sure he is still considered a high (Osu) level recruit?

You mean the 7-1 loss to a top 10-20 recruit that is undefeated in his HS career and is older than Clayton? I don’t think that eliminates him from consideration. I haven’t seen any other recent losses for him.
Hell I don’t know all the details, its just a damn question.

He also lost 18-5 to #3 Lemley in December.

They rank a lot more than 10 weights don't they in the HS rankings? #7 at one weight out of 15 or however many is not that elite. What are the Oklahoma kids rated P4P for their year, or for all years?

Flo pound for pound all grades and weight classes Jim Mullen is rated 9th and he is a junior and Jordan Williams is rated 15th and he is a junior. The 2020 Big Board has Anthony Ferrari at 12 and Jordan Williams at 16, and Zac Blankenship at 95. These are ratings for senior class any weight. 2023 Big Board has Jim Mullen rated 8th, Cael Hughes 15 and Jersey Robb 47, Sam Smith is 90. These Big Board rating have not been updated by Flo for at least this years results hence Anthony's high rating on the Big Board but not pound for pound which has been recently updated so Anthony is put down because he hasn't wrestled this year. Ladarion Lockett as a freshman is rated 5th at 145 and Angelo Ferrari rated 6th at 160 as a sophomore. If they keep working each of them could be number 1 wrestler in their age group when they finish high school.

It means you are ranked as the 7th best HS wrestler in country at your weight regardless of class. That is most year going to class you as elite or borderline elite.

Biggest match in Oklahoma high school wrestling this year occurs tomorrow at 160, Jordan Williams against Angelo Ferrari. Then Blankenship against McComas. Also Hughes against Giddens at 126.

He's had a back problem that has kept him out at times through out this whole year. He's been wrestling hurt most of the season.

Sounds like a all positive things for a recruit. Hurt for a year with back problems at a young age and discipline issues.

It kinda fits the narrative for how this season has gone.

Pretty sure he’s referring to discipline issues with Anthony Ferrari.

“Injuries and discipline issues. The story of the season” is how I read it.

just curious from that poster. I’ve got a rant ready if they claim Ferrari’s crash is a discipline issue… a common trope from Iowa and Penn State fans.

Are they streaming the regionals anywhere? I’d like to check out the Ferrari/Williams match?

I think Buttram has the back problems and Anthony Ferrari has the discipline concern. I think Anthony was out this season with shoulder problems. I had heard earlier Anthony wanted to wrestle 152 here at the end of the season. I also heard because he couldn't lift with the shoulder injury he was not big like last year at 160. Some forum members thought that wasn't indications of being a good team member. Since we have a very good 152 Anthony should go for the 170 position. I remember thinking if I was him and have been rehabbing from shoulder problems, I wouldn't want to be wrestling guys 20 pounds bigger than me. Could this possible conflict set up the discipline apparently going on? Anthony has great potential as a college wrestler and I hope that he becomes a National Champ at Oklahoma State.

According to Seth Duckworth on the Twitter Angelo did not weigh in today. So no need to get excited about the Jordan Williams match tonight.
