Looks like Marcus Newby is out for a while with a hamstring injury. Who will our OLB's be now? Will Ferguson and Gifford play together or will we play more 4-man fronts and play Alex Davis. It's like we are the walking wounded and conference play hasn't even started.

Things just got tougher on SE and MR. Hope Newby heals up quickly and we'll see what adjustments can be made. Maybe Bray has his guys ready to roll.

Another potential blow to SE and MR. Hope he heals up quickly and we'll see what adjustments they make.

nope .... the injury bug will be invoked +/- an asst coach replacement and another 2-3 years of patience will be preached

everyone knew that things were on the verge of getting turned around and we were poised to win the west before these untimely injuries

Right. We're just snake-bitten, bad luck schlep-rock.

Give them another extension and a raise while we're at it.

Certainly an awful performance so far this season, but it never helps to lose yet another senior starter (Chris Jones, David Knevel, Newby). That leaves NU with former walk-on Chris Weber as the only senior starter on D. On offense, it's still only Conrad, Pierson-El and Hoppes as seniors starting, two former walk-ons.

FYI, it won't be invoked by me.

If the coaches turn this thing around, great! But I'm done making excuses any longer. A loss to a MAC team will do that to a person, I guess. We have been building depth the last 2+ years, or at least we should have been. We should be able to weather this.

Who are you arguing with? I haven't seen anyone propping up those excuses after last weekend.

You left our other DB Kalu who some think was right behind Jones as far as his talent in the secondary. It sucks. Kalu probably would have gotten us a stop on their last drive Saturday.
