I don't think anyone stays with 3 scores of GCMS after what they did to Hope. They totally dominated Hope and I did not expect that at all. This team is better than last years team and will roll to 14-0.
2A is just nasty. North bracket teams are 43-1...Sterling Newman's only loss was at home to Orion, who hosts Lanark Eastland Pearl City in the other north quarter between unbeatens...GCMS was given no slack this year defending their title - hosting Hope, now to Newman, and the semi is another unbeaten...the South bracket ain't no slouch either, with 10-1 Tuscola @ 11-0 Maroa and a rematch between 7-4 Downs Tri-Valley @ 11-0 Decatur St. Theresa (who gave Tuscola their only loss...).
I might propose the craziest difficult comparative schedule in the state might be Tri-Valley...They played the unbeaten defending state champs & 2A North 1 seed GCMS in conference...9-2 3A second round Eureka in conference...8-3 Fisher Bunnies in a conference crossover...and unbeaten 2A South 1 seed St. Theresa non-conference...Regular season 5-4 - four losses to teams with a combined three regular season losses...and wins over two one loss conference runner-up.teams in the first two rounds. Teams that schedule like Tri-Valley is why 5-4 teams should be in the playoffs...
