From Politico: Hakeem Jeffries slams Haley Stevens’ Mike Rogers endorsement: “Haley Stevens made a terrible decision, blindsided everyone and isolated herself from the House Democratic caucus. We will have a discussion about appropriate next steps upon our return."

Maybe this is why our Dem senators in AZ always vote with the left wing, even though they campaigned as moderates.

Schumer is too Jewish and will be toast in January, can Jeffries hang on by showing he is the left's enforcer? Great party you lefties are supporting.

To be fair, this is exactly how Republicans treated people who couldn’t stick with the party line and vote for Trump. I know the President is different from a state position, but the reaction is pretty similar.

Earned me a few nicknames, haha

Exactly. “Panicans” “RINOs” “Democrats”

If you didn’t obey the master you were labeled one of the three.

Guys Trump is selling pardons from the WH and Bill O is scolding people for caring.

You have to be kidding me. Being better on some policy does not make you better for the long term of the country … or even the GOP.

Note he did not mention tariffs and Iran, the two most consequential policy decisions on Trump 2. I support the latter, but most don’t.

Trump doesn’t support terrorism. Trump isn’t an Islamist. Trump isn’t destroying US institutions or being part of the “slow drip to socialist authoritarianism I just want to get my kickbacks” crowd of Republicans in DC. Did Trump hurt your feelings for working hard to turn the US economy back from a service economy to a much needed manufacturing economy? Trump immigration and law and order policies pretty much positively impacted your local issue with TdA gang, yet here you are trying to make a national issue about you when you made a completely useless vote for RDS. You should thank those of us who had the strength to vote for the Republican candidate despite potential physical and economic threats from the leftists. Did you forget the debankings? Did you forget all of the Republican bannings from social media? Did you forget the silencing of physicians who came up with successful treatments for Covid?

I don’t particularly care for Ken Paxton as a person. As an AG he has been quite effective. What US institutions is Ken Paxton going to break down? What lawlessness is Paxton supporting? Does he support sanctuary cities and TdA? Does he support the Islamocommunist rise in the US? Does he support terrorists? Yes or no? John Cornyn is a whining little baby who did absolutely jack **** for America, and, almost immediately after losing the primary to Paxton, supported the opposition that would open the borders, raise taxes, bring on more leftist authoritarianism and go back to the failed foreign policies of the last 50 years, support child mutilation, etc.. Completely different than what happened to Haley Stevens. She isn’t rooting for the entire Democrat Party to lose big in the elections like your buddies here.

That's fair. The converse is the flood of immigrants and the expense were not sustainable. Crime against girls and women(heavily unreported) was sickening. Rampant fraud largely ignored by leftwing leaders as the fraudsters donate to them. Insanely high inflation and taxes from the left being in charge are in the rear view mirror now, but can return quickly with weak minded voters.

You get a chance to push back on the lawless leaders in power at election time. People that will vote Dem in red states are not flooding into blue states. They are all talk. Zero action. I voluntarily moved from a purple state I lived in for over 20 years into a red state. I believe in policy and my action supports it. I also will spend extra to do my part. I am not just a mouth about spending money. I spent over $50k for my my rainwater capture. It is highly likely I will ever get that money back. I did it because I am putting my money where my mouth is. If someone can't do that, they are an empty suit of mouth only.

Correct. I was a Wesly Hunt voter in this primary. Cornyn was a business as usual 20 year senator. He needed to go. It would be good for the masses to realize business as usual is not what people want.

With Trump(and all of his warts) we get a break business as usual. The weak minded will follow the media into the destruction of the US.

After reading your post, I realize that you have a complete break from reality. Explains a lot, and makes me question why I try to answer your posts.

Crazy right, the GOP did not have a high bar to clear when they had all the power, and they haven't even come close. That's the point, it didn't have to be this way. Probably just needed to be average. Anyhow, I suggest to blame the guys in power, not the citizens/voters.

This is like the 10th attempt of a passive aggressive attack on me for not "paying more in taxes," because I had the temerity to say the incredible debt/deficit mean that we will all have to pay more in taxes sooner rather than later. What a weird crusade of attempted moral superiority, it's as if my understanding of the economic realities of high debt and deficits is somehow a bad thing.

To be clear on the actual problem, this same poster welcomed into the GOP a leader - he loved Trump in 2016 - who did not give one flip about high debt and deficits. And who - just like the Dems he hates - has been a big part of leading the country down a fiscally unsustainable path.

I don't do passive aggressive. You done f*cked up, Dave. You can deny your part all you want, but the Paul Ryans of the world wouldn't have gotten us here. They actually understand economics, taxes, and the like.

Just like I told you all that Bruce Weber would destroy Illini hoops, I told you all that Trump would massively damage the GOP and the things it purports to care about.

Here we are, on the day of reckoning. And it won't be the last if the GOP doesn't adjust. Let's adjust. Rubio, yes. RDS, yes. Youngkin, yes. Abbott, yes.

Trump, no. Paxton, no. Vance, no. Trump, Jr., no. Tucker, no. These are the people you need to get rid of.

That second paragraph is so idiotic. Trump undermines so much you claim to care up, including fiscal sanity and the free market.

Very reasonable response, and I agree with pretty much everything you said. I would argue I'm not a weak minded voter, because I voted red up and down the ballot. I just didn't vote for the guy that had no chance to win my state, and had a past and present that troubled me in many ways.

I voted red up and down the ballot this time around too. Dems embrace dangerous ideology as long as it grows their tent of people. That's the more dangerous party moving forward. I'm not the enemy, but get treated as such on here at times. I'm fine with it, just pointing out that the GOP does this too.

That rainwater capture system would be illegal here in Colorado. No joke. We release violent criminals back on the streets but you better not capture rainwater!

I didn't forget any of that, which is why I vote the way I do. But I didn't forget Trump's past failures, either.

Best had a very reasonable response. You immediately responded with a rant. Unfortunately, more people are like you these days, which makes it very difficult to have political discourse.

Trump cleared a medium bar. See what I did there?

True story...

I am building a spirits tasting room on the Texas wine trail. Once I satisfy my water hurdles(which are reasonable), I literally can build whatever the hell I want. The lack of regulation here is mostly a good thing.

No, he didn't. If he cleared the bar they wouldn't be getting destroyed in the midterms. The bar is the midterm results, I'd say a good metric to show if people are satisfied.

Nah. It wasn’t a rant. You just didn’t like the response. It’s quite factual. You had trouble with Trump. I voted for RDS in the primary. I hemmed and hawed for a bit, but following the Democrats and what they were up to and still are, it was more important to vote Trump and support the popular vote than it was to make a protest vote, of which I did in 2016 and will never do again until the Democrats have an enema and get rid of the communist/islamist love. They must return to what several of the Michigan Democrats stated at the podium in the video from a X post I shared earlier this morning. I’m all for Republican infighting once the Democrats go back to being a bit more sane. As it is now, it’s either straight ticket or straight jacket. Your choice of course.

I think my absolute favorite part of today is that the people who brought us here are the ones mad at those who told them where it was going.

I mean, it's Bruce Weber all over again. At least Bruce is a decent guy.
The democrats have been so insane that any normal human being R would be absolutely crushing it right now. MAGA decided we’d rather say a bunch of mean **** and get absolutely nothing done. They wanted the circus and they got it.

Pretty entertaining, but now we’re here and Trump and his circle have openly raped MAGA for everything they have. It’s going to get much worse before it gets better and there’s only one group to blame.

I can’t wait to look back at this period in a few decades and remember the heroes like those here that “saved” our country by handing it to a reality television con man. It still baffles me that adults can listen to anything Trump says and don’t think he’s a complete ******* idiot.

Yes on every front.

They wanted the circus, they got it. And now they deny the consequences they own.

On top of that, the party's voters had every chance to reject Trump in 2016 and 2024 in the primaries. Said voters refused, yugely the second time. The pain they now feel, they earned it.

Weird, Microsoft has a $4T market cap, so Musk could liquidate all his holdings (which would devalue them substantially), and maybe buy 7-10% of it.

Man, I noticed you didn't respond to being called out for being passive aggressive. Hope you can control yourself after the election, and maybe think a bit harder on how we've arrived at this period of prospective Dem dominance.
