Next 6 games gonna be huge.

I want to win all these games, but what matters even more than that are the following:
- Are we finally figuring out a stable rotation?
- Are we figuring out what our best path to successful ballscreen defense is?
- Are we developing good habits on the offensive end that will allow us to remain in our scheme?
- Are we able to play defense with improved awareness? Can we play disciplined and focused?
- Are we finally seeing a fire lit under Otega Oweh? Is he finding and capitalizing on driving lanes?
- Is Pope using the bench more readily as a teaching tool?

If we go 2-2 but I see significant improvement in these areas, I remain hopeful this can get figured out. Regardless of the record, if I fail to see much improvement in these areas, I begin to worry about whether it will be fixed.

While watching games the last two days involving teams we‘ll play, we could be in major trouble. The talent looks huge compared to ours.
Yeah watching Tennessee and Houston last night definitely made me concerned. Their guards would blow by us just like Brown and Fears did this earlier this month as well as us getting torched by quick guards last year.

I think Pope can get this team on the right track. I’m really pulling for him and this team. Let me tell you now if we lose to IU at home. There will be an epic Calipari’s last game type meltdown with this fan base.

December is a make or break month for Pope and the team. The narrative can change by a flip of the switch if this team manages to win most of the games this month, especially against the ranked teams. That's confidence builder.

The narrative can also be pushed to the extreme by pundits and fans if this team ends up losing most of their marquee matchups. We can’t afford to go into the SEC with the team’s confidence at an all time low.

It also lowers the possibility that we make the tournament. We could be looking at possibly 13+ losses by the end of the year if we go into the conference with 6 losses and no wins against good teams.

Indiana isn’t a bad team. It will really suck to lose to them, but they aren’t like a Tom Crean first year type team.

After watching more of these 4 opponents, none, suddenly look like world beaters. UNC looked awful against Michigan State. Gonzaga lost by 40 to Michigan. St John’s got smoked by Auburn, and Indiana has looked average against the likes of Incarnate Ward, and Kansas St.

Hoosiers haven’t played a good team yet. Hard to tell how good they are. And no, Marquette isn’t good 5his season.

Considering the money spent, losing to Indiana with a first year coach at home should be considered inexcusable. At the very least most Kentucky fans will probably think it’s the apocalypse.

Right now I’d be shocked if we lose to Indiana, but who knows, will have to wait and see what the next two games have in store for us.

Every loss is the worst situation and every win is headed in the right direction.

That Indiana team seems to be better than the sum of its parts. They all seem to accept their roles and fit pretty well together. Not a great team, but I think they'll beat some teams that on paper they probably shouldn't.

I agree. I didn’t know how good they would be past their top 3-4 players but they seem to fit together very well.

We will not beat IU or St. John's. Accept that now to avoid disappointment later. This season is over before conference play even starts which is insane.

We are going to be in some major trouble I'm afraid since we let Michigan State manhandle us.... What's Gonzaga , UNC , IU , St Johns, and Alabama going to do.
Don’t forget Arkansas. If you don’t think Cal will beat the wheels off this opportunity you’re smoking crack. He is gonna make another statement.

Updated 2-2.
2-4 still possible.
4-2 still possible.

Pope and BBN needs these next 2.
4-2 must happen.
Indiana is a massive game in Rupp.

My point was Indiana didn’t look great against two garbage teams, Incarnate Word and Kansas St.

That’s the only reason I think we have a chance to win, they haven’t exactly looked great against mediocre teams. But knowing our luck they’ll play like the OKC Thunder on Saturday.

Made it to 4-2.
Awesome job by Pope.
We a different squad with Lowe and JQ on the floor.
Still need to shoot better, but best we have looked all year.
