Hopefully after this upcoming weekend we'll get one of the APB's. Any one of them would fit in perfectly.

Isnt it funny that this staff wants to take 2 RBs but yet the prior staff was hardly recruiting RBs. Kind of proves that Reggie Davis was a lazy recruiter who had zero idea about his depth.

I am betting that we will have 3 - 5 commits this next weekend with all of the visitors lining up, especially since a couple are going to start school the following Monday (Williams and Dixon).

Jan. 12 visitor list is growing by the day:
Dominick Watt, Mike Williams (JUCO), Maurice Washington, Matthew Tago, Braxton Clark, Ta'Zhawn Henry, Jarrett Bell, Javontae Jean-Baptiste, and Miles Jones. Also the Ole Miss transfer, Breon Dixon, will be here.

Speed, speed, and more speed. Does Frost end up over-signing on accident?Laughing

Looks like 15 official visitors lined up at the moment. That only leaves 7 officials left to use before signing day. Plenty of offers rolling out to use up those final 7 pretty quick!

This spring ball is going to have so many new players at the skill positions. I am guessing some of our top walk-ons that have played here and there over the last couple years will not be playing much going forwards unless they have speed.

With the additions (and possible additions) to WR and RB, I wonder how much guys like Mazour and Conor Young will even stand a real chance to play. They both have good speed, so maybe they will get to play anyways.

The walk-ons will be treated the same as scholarship players and have the same opportunity to get reps.

But will they stand a chance if we actually end up getting as much speed as it looks like we might get.

Of course I am assuming that some of these guys have speed I guess.

I am going to say yes and here's the reason.

Most of the 4 and 5 star guys are from schools that have good S&C programs and more coaching then a typical Nebraska school. Granted you can only pick up x more speed but with the Nebraska facilities a player can catch up to what comes out of Texas and Florida.

IMO often times the kids especially out of Texas have already developed most of their potential so it's kinda WYSIWYG

Is that the WR from like Eastern Mississippi CC? I saw some twitter people thought he was underrated. Haven't seen him myself.

Is a 4.5 guy from Florida or Texas faster than a 4.5 guy from Nebraska?

Maybe we can get back to where we blow out teams like Ark St etc, and guys like Mazour and Young play in the 4th qtr and show what they can actually do.

That sure would be nice!

With this offense, I bet there is a hell of a lot better chance of that happening than in the past few years!

If Frost can get things rolling then blowing teams out and getting the back ups in is a big deal IMO. Get your depth some valuable experience and your starting unit well rested to limit the risk of injuries to them..

Been pretty quiet on the recruiting end. Who is projected to be our next commit?
Probably better get used to the quiet on the recruiting front. I don't think the that Frost is into big marketing campaigns or the type of recruit that is attracted to them

Here is a pretty good bet.

Mike Williams, visiting this weekend and wants to enroll ASAP. No ranking (the "star gazers" guy from the other thread should like that), but he looks like he can fly. Starting to get interest from UCLA, Tennessee and Ole Miss, but it might be too little too late for them.
