"Loyal and True" is not dead. You have to be loyal and true to the program. That is what is most important. And to make a hire like this one, I would say "loyal and true" is far from dead!
As Willie and Basch spoke about.. there are basically unlimited positions around when you fire the RTC up to full steam

The more we can build up a crown to the ground training org the better. Involve everyone down to the academies and get OK high school wrestling back to producing massive talent

I think you hit on two of them...Kennedy and Gilman. Kennedy is his bro in law and current PSU assistant. I would guess maybe Varner or maybe Eric Thompson for the big fellas. I don't think Dake is interested in college coaching.
FTR, this is a fantastic hire. I get that in wrestling, it's uncomfortable to go outside the family but there is serious potential here in DT. It sucks for Coleman but there is a duty to get the best guy that you can at this point in time.

Pretty incredible and shocking turn of events. Money talks and this program needed a shot in the arm. It appears to have gotten it today.
You feel for CS and those that felt secure due to the plan put in place a year ago but no contractual promises were made.
Very high ceiling type of hire with the potential to be landscape altering but it does come with some risks.
