Josh Pastner would be very interested. Getting a lot of air time on TV as a commentator now. Great recruiter but Boynton was too.

Mr. Gottlieb said today on the Animal that he has already been told that
he is not being considered for the job.
Is that the first call they make, every time there is a coaching search at OSU?

'Hello Sir, just a courtesy call to let you know we are once more, NOT considering you for the job.'
'Bye for now, this automated call will be redelivered when the next coaching search happens.'
'P.S., please tell Pooperscooper to shut up about it.'

That D2 coach is probably the one they should get. A real coach.

It's Gottlieb's fault for refusing to take any coach ing job anywhere to at least get a little experience. He lobbies for a job and goes into any interview and immediately the question about "How have your past experiences prepared you to take on this job?" I mean "I played college basketball at a high level but couldn't hit free throws" doesn't exactly scream "this guy's gonna be a great head coach for a major program".

Would OSU consider Brian Montonati? He comes with a built in 5* recruit in 2026. And I actually think Montonati has the demeanor and coaching ability to succeed...but the X factor with HS coaches jumping to college is can they recruit?

Who cares?
Unless there is a good joke we can squeeze out of it I really don't.

Montonanti needs to earn his stripes as an assistant coach first.

I think he wants to coach his son through high school.

Does Konkol have an opening coming up next year?
