How good is California, Georgetown and Texasee this year?OFC

[Quavarius]

If I had to rank the four teams:

1. Duke
2. Texas
3. Georgetown
4. California

[Quavarius]

Just checked KenPom:

Texas is 26th
Georgetown is 67th
Cal is 133rd

So my ranking above was accurate. We’re matched up with the weakest of the four teams to begin with and should face Texas, which would be a quality OOC opponent and another neutral court win over a likely tournament team.

I wish Cal and Stanford would return to old form. Duke needs a West Coast equivalent in sports.

Georgetown was just down to Georgia State at halftime

We were close. OFC

Gonzaga home and away series every year would get my vote

Random thought. We haven’t had any visitors from rump rafters since last week. I wonder what’s going on with them?

[nets on nets on nets]

Texas is good. A lot of their key guys were starters on the team 2 years ago that took us to OT (we definitely should have lost that game) in the Phil Knight Invitational.

I read something last night that the whole state of Kentucky is without internet right now....so that's probably why.

Hahaha!

I thought they were at the “#1 MBB class of 2020” parade.

Learn something new everyday . I didn't even know they had the Internet in Kentucky. OFC

Tickets for the MSG games are actually pretty reasonable. I am trying to decide if I should pull the trigger. Friday is my birthday, seems like a good enough reason to go!

[Quavarius]

Texas is now ranked 22nd in the AP poll, so if we meet, that could be another neutral court win over a ranked opponent.

Great question

[tripleb71]

I think if we get to play Texas and get the win that it will age very well. Expect them to be at or near top of Big 12.

They’re too busy freaking out about coming close to picking up their second loss last night

They do, but with that huge new contract Cal signed earlier in the year, the state has had to make some cuts to internet service. I think Cal and Ashley Judd are the only two people that have a direct internet line in Kentucky. Cal is pissed at some of them on Rupp Rafters so he's cut off his wi fi for Kentuck fans, and Ashley Judd is out of town making a movie...think it's called Purple Faces, or Aces, something like that.

OFC

[Quavarius]

Welp, looks like we may be playing Georgetown if we beat Cal tonight! Georgetown looks better than I thought
