The wizard won't be there to help the Kansas football team.............but, Kansas won't exactly play like the lion in Wizard of Oz. Rather, they will play with with heart and emotion ............ just like our boys. WV will be victorious in a hard fought game. Yes...............Holgs could win out but......Iowa State is a major hurdle toward this end. By the way............Holgs will be your coach next year and for the coming years. Life is good.

Truth is every remaining game is winnable and losable. I will believe we can beat KSU when we actually do it. Thus far, no evidence to suggest that we can.

We lucked out with Kansas playing their best game of the year yesterday. No chance our team takes the Jayhawks for granted after seeing how close they came in Ft Worth. Pretty much the same with the Cyclones' close call against the Cowboys. Nice to see our program catching some breaks of that nature for once, it's been awhile.

With WVU's awesome defense, I don't see how the Mountaineers can lose to Kansas, Iowa State or Kansas. Unless WVU's inconsistent offense hands a victory to one or more of them on a platter.
8-4, with losses only to the October Octopus Onslaught, would be a good finish. Particularly if my alma mater topped it off with a bowl victory, say over Arizona and Rich Rod. Wouldn't that be sweet?

M ighty defense throttled Georgia Southern, 44-0

O utstanding defense obliterated Liberty, 41-17

U nilaterally decimated Maryland, 45-6, on defense and offense

N oxious offense & special teams against Oklahoma, 44-24

T urnovers lose to Oklahoma State, 33-26 in OT despite impressive comeback from 15-point deficit.

A wesome Baylor too much, 62-38.

I ncinerated by TCU, 40-10. Way too many mistakes, penalties, dropped passes.

N ifty rushing, defense take down Texas Tech, 31-26

E xcellent turnovers by defense against Texas, 38-20

E rectile dysfunction Kansas

R oll past Iowa State

S lip past Kansas State

The TO's were great but I'd hardly refer to our defense as awesome. ......we just gave up around 450 yards.... ....and had less from ours.
Iowa State is playing good ball the last few weeks; not so much the other two. better not think low of Iowa St............

Kansas should be a victory for WVU. They are as bad as their record. Come out of it with out injury and get up on them early. Don't give them hope and make the day harder than it needs to be.

Does anyone know game time?

Never mind just saw its a noon kickoff.

Okay speaking of the Kansas game. The current point spread is WVU - 27.5
Do you think this will be a cake walk and WVU will cover the spread or not?
To be fair, I will try to answer my own question on here. I think the point spread is to high right now and I just wan't to go on the record and say that before the game.

Kansas +27.5 sounds like the smarter bet. I really like the offensive evolution of the last 2 games, but right now this doesn't seem like a team which should be laying 4 TDs on the road.

Yes I think we win and win easily but the new philosophy of the offense, there's a chance we don't score 28 points. I'm think 31-17

You can't be worse than KU's record, but the Jayhawks are a bad 0-fer when you look at the record. TCU was its closest loss except for the FCS game. The 3 games before that it was outscored 179-37.

It lost by a combined 82-37 to Memphis and Rutgers.

In Big 12 play, it's been outscored 326-94 (46.5-13.4).

I don't bet on WVU games, but I'd say the spread is about right.
