In order to keep jumping levels you have to have a certain level of athleticism. And Hamiti is being picked ahead of Plott in every sport if they played dodgeball, basketball or anything athletic. And he had DT teaching him who had a similar style and body type . So Hamiti jumping levels was a guarantee. But I understand not everyone knows ball like Malos and I 😂😂
Haha, I knew he was going to improve a ton. At the point of the argument, I wasn’t willing to say he was our biggest point scorer when you had a returning finalist in Plott and a pinner that was 3rd twice ahead of a guy that didn’t AA the year prior.

It came pretty clear, pretty quick that he was a title threat.

I’m ready to see who we roll out at 41?

like others mentioned I see 3 pokes in the rankings. 😂

Hughes?
Young?
Vega?
Won't be Hughes he's banged up he might end up looking for a medical. My guess is they split for awhile and use Vega when they need him in 5 events while waiting to see when Jamison is back. Doubt they use 1 of his 5 dates against Stamford

Thats how I see it. Ive argued with some guys who are saying that Vega will be the guy lol. First of all he barely beat Carter who majored him the week before. Not enough of a difference to burn a shirt even if Jamison wasnt coming back. Add in the fact that Jamison IS coming back and will be 41, this is a no brainer. Not sure if Tagen hits any opens in December but def expect him at the Scuffle if all goes well.

With this line of thinking you think Merrill shouldn't be the guy at 197.

Uh, wouldn’t he say Vega should be the guy if it’s linear with Merrill?
I am saying he is putting too much stock in wrestle off and room results. We know what we have in Carter and the ceiling is not very high because he cannot get out of his own way. At least we do not know the ceiling of Vega.

And with Jamison expected back you don't waste Vega RS when you have Carter. They will use Vega for his 5 events for sure but I don't see his RS being pulled unless something happens and Jamison doesn't make it back

Are you sure Jamison is better than Vega. This coaching staff has already proven they do not care about RS, DT wants his best guys on the mat.

I was a big comics guy when I was a kid. This reminds me of the Hulk when I say, JAMISON SMASH. No disrespect to Vega but I expect Jamison to be top 5 in an absolute brutal weight class.

As far as Merrill, he's the guy until its apparent he's not.

Fun fact about Mower, he's like crazy farm boy strong to the point Plott didnt like working out with him. But we all know that it takes more than immense strength to win wrestling matches. Look at Kyle Haas. I promise you if Mower had wrestled Buchanan last year he'd of gotten majored.

Lets face it, at this point in the preseason we're all just giving our opinions but some are more informed than others about different aspects of certain wrestlers and what happens in the room and where the coaches are leaning. Could it be someone else later on? Absolutely. But regardless I stand by my thoughts for now.

I hope Jamison proves me wrong but he underperforms every year come March!!!!
I get that. With some underlying health issues and the cut March has been tough for him. Last year he was more ready and was handling Composto last year when the knee went in the second period and he still made it to the BR. Composto is currently ranked 4th.

And he had Composto beat. I’m pretty sure it was 4-0 and Tagen was pushing for offense.

When he fell to the backside, it was a tough draw, especially with a fresh ACL injury.

Still, his two losses were to the guy that got 4th and the guy that got 5th.
