I still don't think we will see much change on the NIL front and that from talking to both ADs here in Oklahoma and seeing some of the NIL offers still going out to HS prospects in several sports.
HS NIL we will see how that gets dealt with in August when guys enroll since they've to declare that to NIL Go
I agree with 90%. HWT may require a little more maturing to become a champ, but hey, why not
I listened to the Vega interview from Basch. That dude cant help himself and he doubles down that the OSU/ISU dual was boring. He cant stand that OSU was in the spotlight this weekend. Getting Vega on was a cheap attempt to cover his own @SS.
So weird that he keeps banging that drum and especially weird to bring it up in an interview with an OSU kid
It was the elephant in the room in his mind but i agree. 100% weird af he brought it up.
Boring? Wtf. That dual was exciting. If you’re bored by any match that isn’t high scoring, that’s a you problem. Also how rude to bring that up to a competitor. Low class move.
Listening to anything Basch does with the understanding that he’s basically PSU state media helps make him a little less grating. Kim Jong Un would think he’s a little heavy handed
Basch’s problem is that guys like us view him as a national level show that should be neutral but I’m guessing in his eyes, he’s just a guy who likes wrestling, has connections enough to have a platform and roots for PSU. As someone who digests every bit of good and bad wrestling talk out there, I’m just grateful his show exists. Hell, I get irritable that Dynasty and Low Single don’t record more regularly, so his show coming 1-2 times a week seems like a God send. Unless I’m mistaken, no one (including Basch) is making money doing this. That being said, his “not entertainment” comment is insane. I left that dual thinking it was one of the more intense ones I’ve been to in a while. I’ve seen guys like Amine and AJ wrestle. I know what boring looks like and that ain’t it

I actually almost knocked my wife out on the Swiddy TD. Somehow, my fist pump got her an elbow to the jaw. She still was into it! Hey, this is a tough sport.
Take a look at our coach's corner during Wyatt's nationals match last year and you'll see that watching wrestling can, indeed, be a "contact sport."
It did scare me pretty bad. She’s fine and will be there with my on Friday.
It took me a bit to find her, I missed most of Lando’s match.
No clue who this may be about but Braxton Amos do you like wearing orange?
I’d be down for Amos but he said in another comment it was a non-starter and a recruit that are leaving but he seemed to imply there could be others later.
Amos is not bad. His losses are against Bastida(5-4), Nick Feldman(6-4) and Taye and Keuter in SV.
I don’t know if Amos is a guy who, if he chose to enter the portal, you’d have to back up a Brinks truck for. IIRC he’s close with KD, Plott, and Surber who would all still be around in some capacity and could vouch for the staff.
Imo he’s similar to what KD is with respect to maybe not being a title contender, but certainly All-American caliber with the right coaching and mindset. If they’re set on Ross redshirting so that he can bulk up and get healthy, Amos could be a solid 1 year stopgap

That’s fair. But the Iowan (and American) high schoolers he’s throwing around right now are wildly different from the grown men he’d be competing against in college. I say that and then remember he’s wrestled Cobe Merrill and that shoulder has held up.
Are you familiar with “cornfed?” He isn’t bullying a bunch 215 pounders.
Obviously the talent level will be much different.
