Those saying NIT next year should raise their expectations.
Why? I think that would require at least 7-8 B1G wins. That’s a major step up. NU will probably have more talent than it ever has had and that will still be in the bottom third of the B1G from a talent standpoint .

Is the Ivy League calling?
No. I find it humorous that some can’t see the difference an all B1G player can make. Let’s face it, that’s the real difference between NU and other B1G programs. The best player on the opposition is almost always WAY better than NU’s best player. The nucleus of the team fits right in talent wise, but NU misses that star player. BBall is a star sport.

8 wins earned Minny and OSU a tourney bid last year. And will surely be enough for one this year. Of course that does not mean next year will be enough. 7-8 wins would be a pretty decent season for us next year.

I agree and for that to happen Berry and/or Nicholson will need to live up to the hype on this board.
