Neuqua/Warren looks like they have Saran Wrap over 1/2 the camera. And whomever is manning the camera has zero clue.

NFHS feeds are usually terrible.
Cube feeds were usually better.

Has there ever been a good broadcast? I see an awful lot of complaints and with today’s world of technology, even mediocre technology, it is difficult to understand...
Ours is pretty good.

Feeds are usually bad because people are using crappy cameras fed into crappy computers broadcasting on a crappy uplink. Streaming from an iPad is always going to look like crap (ala Cube).

It’s my GUESS, that NFHS provides a certain amount of bandwidth it projects for a game. If more traffic than expected, it takes them a while to throttle up, whether by design, I cannot say.

I know exactly the equipment that Althoff uses - they have the right set up. But the streams back up on the NFHS side.

I believe at least part of NFHS is on AWS, so scaling up shouldn't be an issue unless they're just being cheep.

My guess is trying to maximize profit and willing to error in the side a lesser customer experience than being known for quality.

Hell, they already have your money.

Sterling’s games are HD perfect, they clock every once in awhile but picture is flawless, when they play Montini make sure to mirror it on your big screen and get your popcorn ready!

I think you’re misremembering or maybe revisionist history but it was the opposite for me. Cube always sucked something fierce and NFHS was always good. Had some issues with NFHS today like mentioned above in WWS and Warren games but lots of games worked great and those two still had streams. You basically couldn’t get anything out of Cube but those stupid cube ads they ran when their feed dropped. I used to watch that crap over and over again. Good riddance Cube.

Cube had producer software like NFHS so some schools used real setups and not iPads and those generally looked good. ipad broadcasts were generally crap, but sometimes they'd be ok. I'm happier with NFHS than Cube.

Love hoops and wish there was a similar one like Edge runs, but don't want to get yanked.

There used to be a few HS Hoops message boards on other sites, but they have disappeared and no one has stepped up.

I read Off-season, but I am more of a Chicago Hoops guy. There are several facebook groups based out of Chicago that I participate from Nov-Mar.
