New England won but remember Pittsburgh and Carolina were garbage. And Buffalo has the best QB in the playoffs. Philly was the only surprise but SF is very goodAside from Chicago, haven’t all the road teams been victors in the wild card games.
That seems odd to me
Good take and about as stupid of a comment I have seen from you and that is an accomplishment - congratsStroud is trash
He was coached by Mike Yurcich while at Okie State if that makes you feel any better.Mason Rudolph in for the Stillers. Getting a look at the future in Pittsburgh.
Did you watch the game?Good take and about as stupid of a comment I have seen from you and that is an accomplishment - congrats
Do all Ohio State fans like you quit on their ex-players when they have a bad game?Did you watch the game?
I was on team Stroud after his rookie year--he's regressed greatly
If he plays decently tonight it may have been 50-3
Just to make sure I understand--today I'm an Ohio State fan?Do all Ohio State fans like you quit on their ex-players when they have a bad game?
Hopefully next year they start Will Howard or some guy they take in the 3rd or 4th round this year. Mason's probably good enough to stay mediocre. So is the Stillers offensive line that putrid or are the Texans just ridiculously good on tthe defensive front? I think they can beat the Cheatriots.
For the love of God can we end this Tomlin reign of mediocrity and/or tank with Mason Rudolph then rebuild.
The OL had actually taken some positive strides this year…pretty young unit, and they were definitely not the weakness down the stretch that they were early in the year. Houston’s D is as advertised. If they had a legit QB, I’d say they’d have a legit shot at a long run.So is the Stillers offensive line that putrid or are the Texans just ridiculously good on tthe defensive front? It is obvious the organization is going nowhere under Tomlin and whatever clowns they have masquerading as GMs. Figure out how to exit these guys for crying out loud. Entice or encourage Tomlin to resign, whatever, but get new people in for a fresh start. The OL had actually taken some positive strides this year…pretty young unit, and they were definitely not the weakness down the stretch that they were early in the year. Also, more than ready to end the Tomlin era. The organization needs a reboot. They have the highest paid defense in the league, and tonight was the best they could manage. Too many overpaid players on the wrong side of 30.
Wasn't there one of the early soccer style kickers from Europe who did that the first time he tried out for an NFL team here? Not sure that I've ever seen a PAT attempt that wasn't blocked, but went under the crossbar, in the NFL. Perhaps I have, and am just forgetting the play. But decades of watching NFL games, and I can't recall ever seeing that.
Typical of the current day NFL product. This game is just bad football
Stroud was putrid in the first half. (I almost never catch the second half of night games.) He played rattled, had no touch, gave his receivers hard-to-catch balls that didn’t connect, he was just bad. That’s totally aside from those awful Jack Dundee-esque fumbles.Stroud is trash
Are you sure about that says the Jets fan?Just to make sure I understand--today I'm an Ohio State fan?
Stroud has been awful since his rookie season--Mills was better than him this year
He's better than a 42 year old Rodgers but so is everyone
Cooper Rush, Trey Lantz, Joe Milton and others say hold our beers.Just to make sure I understand--today I'm an Ohio State fan?

I should have said any starter in the playoff but you're correctCooper Rush, Trey Lantz, Joe Milton and others say hold our beers.
I dont think Tomlin is great and I dont think he is bad, he is like James and cant find coordinators who know what they are doing. Or he puts too much of his own fingerprints on the plan. The team generally played better on offense when AR made the calls in hurry up or via audibles. I think its funny a couple here called him a noodle arm or whatever, he can still throw the ball 65+ yards and with more velo/accuracy than half the league, he just cant move in the pocket anymore. It is obvious the organization is going nowhere under Tomlin and whatever clowns they have masquerading as GMs. Figure out how to exit these guys for crying out loud. One of the biggest issues is they can't competently manage a roster. Always some glaring weakness, overpaid vets who underperform and a horrendous job drafting or trading for a QB. Rodgers was okay this year but it was a band aid. No long term solution via drafting or developing a young QB who could be developed. And apparently Tomlin and James Franklin missed school the day they taught the lesson on how to develop a quarterback. At least we don't have to suffer through BGJ any more. Tomlin....you're next hopefully.
Then you add to this that Mike Tomlin couldn't win a playoff game if spotted a 30-0 lead at halftme and you have the Pittsburgh Stillers we know today.
I’m a bills fan and their defense gave us all sorts of problems on the o-line. They are legit. You guys needed to establish the run to have a chance. Old Aaron throwing it 40 times is a recipe for disaster against Houston. The OL had actually taken some positive strides this year…pretty young unit, and they were definitely not the weakness down the stretch that they were early in the year. Houston’s D is as advertised. If they had a legit QB, I’d say they’d have a legit shot at a long run.

We need a QB and a coach who can develop them and who has an offensive mindset. We won't be in the playoffs or will continue losing every playoff game until we get our franchise QB and a different coach who understands offense. Look at Chicago....smart offensive minded coach paired with elite QB.I dont think Tomlin is great and I dont think he is bad, he is like James and cant find coordinators who know what they are doing. The GM or whoever is making the draft picks is the main culprit. The 2021 and 22 drafts were awful and those should be the guys who are starting and leading the team into their prime. Friermuth is the only 21 still on the roster. 23-25 drafts are ok, got 3 starting OL and a LB in 24 but their 3rd round WR cant find his way on to the field, 25 2nd rounder, same thing.
Can the find a LB who can actually stop the run? Queen doesnt wrap up, 4 or 5 times last night he just led with the shoulder and the RB bounced off for more yards
Some days you just need to tip your cap to a great team effort. That's what Houston's defense did last night.
Houston's defense could take them to a championship. My Lord, they played a great game last night!
Stroud handed the Steelers 3 gifts last night and they converted those gifts into 3 points ... 3 points!
The DL just teed off on Pittsburgh and the DBs only have to cover (blanket) Steeler receivers for 3 seconds at most. With a 4 man rush! Pat Friermuth's lone reception (3 targets) was thrown into the world's smallest windows.- I think there were 3 defenders in on the play trying to break up the completion.
I haven't looked at time of possession for the game, but Steelers D was gassed in the 4th quarter. Texans D made getting a first down a massive achievement.
I suspect that Aaron Rodgers will be announcing his retirement shortly. I would hate to think how badly this season would have been if he wasn't on the roster. What would the Steelers have to give up in order to draft Mendoza?
This doesn’t seem to be mentioned enough: team interceptions have been an official NFL statistic since 1933 and this year’s Jets are the first team to ever get zero interceptions in a season. And they played 17 games!!!! That’s Legendary, nothing else to say.I must add, looking at everything, as a Jets fan: Aaron Glenn was a defensive coach before becoming the Jets head coach. The Jets went the entire season without an interception. The Jets from top to bottom are the worst franchise in the NFL and every year they get better at being the worst.
Thanks.I should have said any starter in the playoff but you're correct
Wow. How low is the probability that an NFL team could go through a 17 game schedule without and interception? I looked it up and found that the Jets are the first team since 1933, the first year that interception statistics were kept, to not have a single interception.I must add, looking at everything, as a Jets fan: Aaron Glenn was a defensive coach before becoming the Jets head coach.
