Bubbas was the coach when I became a fan. How many on here can remember when you could buy tickets at the window night of the game? Have done it many times.

Went to every home game for four years and never waited in a line. Don't know if I could have handled this K-ville tent city nonsense.

We use to drive down after work. On one occasion they were playing state and we go there just as they sold out. Any Iron Dukes on here remember Carl Grubb? He died a couple of years ago . We used to go to games together.

Like DJ said I can wait. I would consider it an honor to be part of the OFC but I'm in no hurry to reach the required age. I'll be happy to remain in the YBC (Young Buck's Club) for a little longer lol

It's best to wait as long as possible to become a member of the OFC. So far the only positives I can see are second looks from ugly, fat or old women, a 5 to 10% senior discount at fast food joints, other church members expect less from you on church clean up days and you're not always expected to look your best from your spouse. The negatives are second looks from ugly, fat or old women, many less second looks from hot women, guaranteed arthritis, poor eye sight and less money.

I'm in my late 30's, I'll be the big 40 in December and I already get older women hitting on me a lot lol

Halfway to my perfect super bowl. Get it panthers
I picked the Broncos today so I'm 2-0 today and 7-3 overall in my playoff picks. I'm picking the Panthers in the Super Bowl, so hopefully I'll be 8-3 in my playoff picks after the Super Bowl but if the Broncos win and I end up 7-4, I won't be too upset about Peyton Manning getting another ring if this ends up being his final season.

Went to Panthers game yesterday with my brother & must say those fans are rabid. Great atmosphere! Broncos will get rolled.

Drive to Raleigh on Sat was not fun but game outcome was. Paid $20 to sit down low, can't beat that.

I have a hard seeing Denver come out on top. I'll hope they can pull it off, but I think Carolina is going to be too much. Somehow, some way, Denver has to get their offense flowing.

I suspect most neutral observers will want Manning to go out on top. I won't be heartbroken to see that, but I've got to pull for the Panthers.

The great ones are usually arrogant to a degree. Laettner was very arrogant, but
I loved his play and attitude on the court.

Manning is awesome and won't hurt my feelings bad to see him go out a champ.
I like Manning, just hope he doesn't get hurt. Would like to see him retire after this game. That being said, I sure don't want to see him win this game. If he were playing anyone else, I would be pulling for him.

No, no. Laettner was "spirited." Wojo was "feisty." JJ was "expressive." Cam is "arrogant."
Cam is no more arrogant than any other winning QB. Who do you pull for?? I guess your QB is not arrogant. Laettner was arrogant and like all Duke fans we loved to watch him play.

I think you misunderstood me. I agree w/ you. I put all those words in quotation marks to show I wasn't endorsing that use of them myself.

I think I'm going to say go Broncos.

Also, didn't the NFL do away with the 2 weeks between the conference championships and the superbowl for a short time? I wish we'd go back to that.

Ok, guess I misunderstood. I really liked Laettner , he at times was beyond arrogant.. He played with a toughness we need to see more often. He might have been the most dependable go to player that I have ever seen. One thing for sure, Ky. fans will never forget him..

I love Cam. What a breath of fresh air compared to dorky Brady. And in his post game interview he didn't mention the Lord. And...he used the word "fruition."
Go Panthers!!!

I heard him talking about grits -- not the instant kind-- and collards as a metaphor for how they played or something. lol

I don't know why, but even as a non-Panthers fan I find Cam easy to root for. I like the life and personality.

Even so, at the beginning of the season I would have said if my team isn't in the conversation (and they rarely are) then I would want Manning to get another ring. I'll be rooting for the Broncos as a result, though I think Cam and company get it done.

I pray it's Arizona and Denver, but afraid it's gonna be Patriots and Kitty cats. If that's true, I may not even watch it. Despise both teams.

OFC
Just curious, why do you despise the Panthers? I'm only asking because it's unusual for anyone to hate them (mostly because they usually don't have successful seasons). It's understandable for a team like the Patriots or even the Steelers.
