Zane really showed and DDS was right there. I thought this would be a good situation for Dinkins but didn't hit numbers most thought - 4.7 40. Did not see Zakee in any of the workouts - is he there? Looking forward to Drew throwing.

OSU as usual has cyborgs and BIG as a whole is pretty solid over all the others.

For a national champion the Indiana guys are not showing up. Omar Cooper is supposed to be round 1 WR. Their All Big LB Aiden Fisher did not stand out at all. Mendoza will be interesting to watch in the throws.

I'm shocked Dinkins ran
Fisher's not a great athlete but a hell of a football player. I think Omar's overrated.

but there is a mismatch between combine numbers and on field performance past year, and for Durant career long. He is same weight as Aaron Donald but not the same player

Someone is going to want to "fix him"--hopefully for his sake it's the Rams
The most important fix with him is mental and being able to process things much faster against NFL defenses than he was able to do against mostly overmatched college defenses. His maturity also needs to be fixed.

I saw this little nugget on ESPN. No offense to Singleton but anyone who watched PSU over the last few years knows that Allen was without a doubt the better RB of the two. Do these guys even watch film?

ESPN RB Draft Projections
Allen was more productive, has better vision, etc. Allen should have been RB1 throughout this time here--Singleton's won't be the second back off the board but it's cool that ESPN thinks he could be. Best of luck to both.

Agreed. My post wasn't meant to be a slight to Singleton. As with Allar, I wish him nothing but success in the NFL. Singleton made a decision to come back to Penn State when he could have gone to the NFL and although it didn't work out the way he probably wanted it to, he showed how important his teammates and Penn State are to him and for that he should be commended.

We're on the same page. I'd draft Allen but Singleton, in theory, has more upside. Kid is a home run threat and has great hands.

I feel our fans have a short memory. For their first two years Nick was the superior back. In years three and four Nick regressed and Kaytron got better.

Or defenses started keying on stopping Singleton from getting breakaway runs, much like Barkley this year. Doesn’t mean he regressed, it means defenses adjusted.

Maybe. Isn’t football a game of constant adjustments? Nick and the staff had ample time to counter opposing team adjustments. The reason for his regression is open to debate, the fact it occurred is not debatable.

I guess that he missed all of the times when Allar did throw the deep ball but severely underthrew it; he never was a good deep thrower here. Allar is the type of player who tantalizes when you look at him until you actually see him play, then you realize he’s mostly fool’s gold.

His numbers regressed, that doesn’t mean he has regressed. Hard to make adjustments when three guys are in your face, just ask Saquon.

He was told to underthrow them by the staff

I actually did walk by him during the BO’B years. He was on the phone and it was all I could do to try to not tell him what really thought of him. The circumstances that day would have made me look like a real jacka**. I, somehow, managed to be the bigger person. It doesn’t happen often, unfortunately.

I also think he had a lingering injury the past two seasons. I’m not sure what and we will never know. He seemed to run with a little hitch and never regained the explosiveness to the outside that we saw his first two season.

Ironic coming from Giger. He was another weasel trying to make a name for himself off of the scandal.

Also the ‘reporter’ who asked about ‘chucking the ball deep’ in one infamous press conference.
