I guess that he missed all of the times when Allar did throw the deep ball but severely underthrew it; he never was a good deep thrower here. Allar is the type of player who tantalizes when you look at him until you actually see him play, then you realize he’s mostly fool’s gold.
Because Allar was told to underthrow them. This has been discussed at length.

Somebody help me out here. I'm seeing in some places that Zakee ran a 4.4 40 at the Combine and at other places it looks like he didn't run the 40. Which is right? If he did run a 4.4, gotta believe that will move him up on a lot of boards given his playmaking ability on the field.

Zakee did not run at the Combine

It's the discourse around Allar and the combine - basically the coaching staff did not put him in the best position to make use of his talents.

The qb version of Mike Mamula.

I must ask, did any of these “experts” watch this guy actually play in games and often struggle completing rudimentary passes and making quick reads against often garbage competition when his receivers were superior than the other teams’ d-backs and linebackers (see the FIU and Villanova games this past season)? Maybe he can be coached up, but from what I saw in his two and half years as a starter is that his tangibles never will be able to overcome his lack of intangibles.

Because what you claim to see never existed--it's just what you want to believe

Mamula averaged more sacks per season than brandon graham.

Had a better career than courtney brown.

Something that l will always remember about DA is that in arguably the 3 biggest games of his career, ND 24,, Oregon 24 and 25 he threw walk off interceptions in each one with an opportunity to win the game. Once is understandable, but three times.....

Watch it kingblando will tell you that you never really saw those interceptions its just what you wanted to see and DA is the next Joe Montana which I hope he is but he has a long way to go.

Those interceptions happened--as they happen to all QBs
The Oregon 24 pick wasn't a big deal at all--he threw a perfect jump ball as was designed. Also, you may want to watch that game--he was great
The ND 24 pick was an awful throw by a kid trying to do too much--and, as I said live, we should have been playing for OT. When you put guys in a bad situation that's the result you usually get. Allar was poor throughout the ND game but the pick itself isn't just on the QB. Most knowledgeable fans get that--sadly, that's part of the issue
The Oregon 25 pick was a poor throw--falls into the same category
He threw just 13 picks in his college career. Mendoza threw 22 despite attempting only more 6 more passes--10 more TD so there's a balance (obviously Mendoza had the better career and WRs) but you all make too big of a deal over the picks; especially considering how rare they were.
