I got bad news for ya...the next generation of Jones family isn't going to be an improvement.
The Jones family is printing cash that doesn’t show up as income on their 1040s. They can say they want to win titles, and they would love it if it happened, but it’s all about the balance sheet.

I want the Raiders to be good and to have the Raider mystique restored.
As a Raiders fan, I would LOVE for this to happen.
This offseason optimism seems different from the last 13 head coaches we've had in 22 years.
I was really bummed when they let Del Rio go, I feel like that was the best the Raiders had been as an organization since Callahan was their HC.
Of course, our one good season in 20 years Derek Carr breaks his leg on Christmas Eve and there went our playoff run.

Thought we could have a fun space to talk about the draft in general.

I'm gonna be brave and say this isn't a bad take:

If you divorce yourself from the the Alabama/Indiana pre-Saban/Cig, I think it's fair to conclude Simpson was being asked to do a lot more than Mendoza.

Mendoza could easily run into the same problem as JJ McCarthy; his best coaching was in college and he was heavily assisted by a running game advantage he'll never have again.

As a Jet fan (on early April 23), I would offer the Giants;

#2 and #44 for #5 and #10. Is that too much from the Giants?

I would then hope for;

#5 Bain
#10 Ioane
# 16 Simpson

I don't understand why everyone isn't all in on Mendoza, sure looks like the real deal to me. We'll see!!
He was average at cal he transferred to Indiana and caught lightning in a bottle I venture to guess he’ll flame out in 4 years. Look at Joe Burrow he did go to one Super Bowl but he’s been injury plagued also
