I just don't get this from the Giants! They've got so many holes to plug. Why do this? From a monetary standpoint, they're giving up picks while gaining another 1st round contract to negotiate. Help me understand! The Houston Texans trade their pick to the NY Giants. Reportedly, the price was the Giants 2nd round pick (#34), their 3rd round pick (#99), and the Giants 2026 3rd round pick.
Lots of speculation that the Giants made the move to select a QB.
With the #25 pick, the NY Giants select Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
In the Eagles thread, Tom posted Howie‘s explanation. He had been trying to trade up to get him since the Chargers 22nd pick and didn’t want any team to jump them for him At 31. Makes sense.I laughed at the Eagles trading up one spot at the end of the round. But that's a good pick. Love that Campbell grew up in the Philly region an Eagles fan.
Nice to wake up and see the Steelers didn't **** the bed last night. I am concerned about the LONG list of DEs and DTs taken before our new duckling, but I'll take it. Where's the beef? Here, now.
Now trade the headcase and get back into the second round for more.
Is Rodgers to the Stillers still in play?

QBs are making salaries that are pretty out of whack these days...if you can get one in the 1st round that turns out to be even solid, you're ahead of the game by getting him for 5 years at less than market value. And not much "negotiation" in 1st round contracts these days...everyone is pretty much slotted into a salary. It definitely makes sense on the financial side.I just don't get this from the Giants! They've got so many holes to plug. Why do this? From a monetary standpoint, they're giving up picks while gaining another 1st round contract to negotiate. Help me understand!
As far as I can tell the GMs for the Bears and Giants wouldn't last a week on this board.I just don't get this from the Giants! They've got so many holes to plug. Why do this? There was another team wanting to move into that space. The Chiefs made it known and the Eagles paid the price to secure the space and the pickI laughed at the Eagles trading up one spot at the end of the round. But that's a good pick. Love that Campbell grew up in the Philly region an Eagles fan.
Sad side story . Good Son .With the #21 pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
Sad side story . Good Son .
Entering Round 2, FanDuel expects the Browns will select Sanders and have assigned Cleveland -170 odds to do so. ‘Land has got this .![]()
Sanders slides out of NFL draft's opening round
Shedeur Sanders is still on the board following the first round of the NFL draft.www.espn.com
Cleveland has two chances tonight to screw up and take sanders.
Or that's what the Chiefs told the EaglesThere was another team wanting to move into that space. The Chiefs made it known and the Eagles paid the price to secure the space and the pick
Sorry if already mentioned, but Kiper was rather embarrassing last night (more than normal). Not only did he go way overboard talking about Sanders, but he was wrong. The sentiments I got from people who tend to place wagers on these sorts of events was that Sanders was definitely dropping, and if the Steelers didn't take him, he would likely be R2. Everyone pretty much knew that NO was not interested, yet Kiper insisted he was the perfect fit and was shocked when he didn't go there. I'm not sure how a "draft expert" could be so out of touch with one of the biggest stories of the draft.

Dang, should have listened to the board last night. (Was that you?)Why does anyone listen to Kiper? Do yourself a favor and switch to NFL Network coverage.
I’ve been saying it for years. Just my opinion, but I think NFL Network does a nice job. I like Louis Riddick on ESPN but not many of the others. I switched over for a few minutes and Kiper’s “ Best Available Players” list was vastly different than NFL Network.Dang, should have listened to the board last night. (Was that you?)
Riddick has interviewed for 4 different GM positions. Kiper was interviewed as an oyster shucker at Phillips’s Seafood.I’ve been saying it for years. They engaged us to be engaged.Another draft highlight was the announcement that provided the date that the 2025 schedule would be announced. So strange.

Pre draft, Kiper still adamant that Sanders will be a great fit in NO. Makes a case for him drafted at 40.Sorry if already mentioned, but Kiper was rather embarrassing last night (more than normal). It seems like college football skipped over that and went directly to "open FA market".How long before we have a “College” Football () Draft?
