Peculiar. Vikings couldn’t wait to get rid of him and he was completely overmatched with the Patriots.
But but…. I thought big news was incoming for the Bears.
Kevin O'Connell having two 13+ win seasons may very well go down as the biggest fluke in NFL history.
What I'm noticing is that everyone but the Rams ended up looking stupid for these trades.
Micah has been with the Pack for 1 year. He was well on his way to DPOY before the ACL. He's in the same company sack wise with Reggie White. Dallas can have their 2 first rounders. We're good.

If Mendoza is the real deal, Da Raiders... gonna be pretty damn good, pretty damn fast.
There's no way he was winning DPOY with Myles Garrett breaking the sack record.
Regardless, I don't think he was the difference between the Packers winning the SB, which should be the measure of a trade of this magnitude.
Fair enough. Im just saying it's only been one year. Micah is still in the prime of his career. Reevaluate in a few years.

To this point in his career, he hasn't made a difference when it matters, which to me is the only justification for these blockbuster trades.

The Seahawks having that much space is diabolical. At least half of it is owed to Darnolds smallish contract.
Mendoza is a career backup. He is a system qb, with a penchant for getting rocked when he moves out of the pocket. He was an average qb at Cal, fit in well with Indiana's system, but still was pretty average against decent opponents. Throw in the fact that college qbs just are not ready for the NFL until year 4 or 5 now, and the fact he is going to a dumpster fire of a situation, with a team that can't hide him with defense and a running game. It is a really bad qb class, and the NFL is so hungry for qbs that it makes sense people are slobbering over the best option. The reason the NFL is so hungry for qbs is that the current college system cannot prepare qbs for the NFL and all of the young ones are flaming out. NIL and the transfer portal has been the worst thing for quality football. If I was an NFL gm, I would load up on defensive line, offensive, line, and get a stable of backs. The new NFL is going to have to minimize qb play. Can you remind me of the qbs who played in the last superbowl?
