I want to make something clear here! All my relatives and my self served and defended the rights of free speech, religious freedom and that all people should have equal rights. Now with that said, I can not respect people be they white, black, red, yellow or tan, who are always creating racial divide to obtain thier political goals! I think there are multiple ways to peaceful protest with our freedom of speech.
Now I am a Christian whiteman of Norman, Scottish and English decent. I think Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of our greatest Americans of the 20th Century. On August 28, 1963, I was 14 years old. I listened to every word of Doctor King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
It seems to me that many, including African Americans have forgotten his message! I believe he was truly a child of God. And this quote helped me become a better person.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
Doctor King would not approve of the blacks attacking whites, other blacks or any other racial groups.
So I think the Flag Kneelers not only dishonor American Patriots and Veterans, they also dishonor Martin luther King. I also think many playing the race card or racists themselves.
One thing I know for sure is God will not judge us by the color of our skin but by our faith and the content of our character. Which brings us back to Martin Luther Kings quote: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
I rest my case. God bless all of us.
