Pitiful. A couple plays later, they blew an obvious PI in the end zone to end the game. The receiver basically had to catch the ball with the DB hanging on his back. It just "wasn't meant to be" for the Commanders last night.

Exactly. I hate Gambling and everything else is allowed in college football now. It's definitely corrupt.
If someone creates a crack or a loophole, there will be a lot of people ready, willing, and able to take advantage of it....even abuse it. Some get paid good money to find those cracks and loopholes.

Isn’t it the coaches job to teach/tell a player where to be in position, not the referee?

All pro sports are rigged. I'm sure college is now to an extent with how big gambling is.

Yesterday Burrows got half the Bucs D to jump offside on a 4th and short by moving his foot. Refs called the Bucs for encroachment. But to be fair to the refs, the Bucs didn't even argue. The game was really out of reach by that point anyway.

A lot of these refs are old guys trying to keep up with athletes who are faster, stronger and tougher than in the past. I surprised they can stay on the field with and run to keep up with the pace of the game.

If any league actually cared about refs being too-notch they would make them full-time, year-round employees. NFL refs get paid nicely, but are part-time.

To date, every league is content with what they have.
