Thank you for the honesty. It was still a long shot at a Bengal win but I think Bengals fans are well within their rights to complain about that call. It was horrible.

That was a typical Bengals-Steelers game. Not particularly pretty but hard nosed and physical. Pittsburgh was able to make enough plays to win. When they get Bell back that offense will be incredible.

The officiating was terrible from the start. With all the talk about the refs being on high awareness, I couldn't believe they didn't call Dunlop for the launch at Ben's head in the first quarter. They pretty much set the tone by letting that call go.

And Dansby flat tackling Brown in the end zone trying to cover him with no call pretty much negated a TD. It goes both ways obviously but they were bad today. A surprisingly flat game by both teams.

I'm not sure about the Dansby one. Big Ben was out of the pocket so I'm not sure if illegal contact applies. He pushed him down so wouldn't be holding. I'm not sure of the rule though. The PI they called on Cockrell was a joke. He didn't really do anything and Green wasn't going to catch it. I was waiting all game for a holding call on Pitt's offensive line. Never came. Absolutely horrific job by the refs. You can add the horse collar they called on Pitt tackling Hill. He just pulled his jersey down. Didn't get the collar at least I didn't think. Miserable officiating today.

Let me be the first to call it…TEBOW to the Patriots!

<> On a serious note…it will be interesting to see what the Pats do for a back-up QB for the next 2 weeks. Pats have to be ecstatic at 2-0 without Brady though.

<> Can't believe they didn't overturn that fumble call in the Bengals/Steelers game. Head scratcher.

<> Bradford and the Vikings really surprised me tonight. Losing AP for however long will sting…but that defense is tremendous. They got a legit shot at winning that division.

<> WTF is wrong with Seattle. The Rams have a decent defense but the Seahawks line couldn't block for ish. Can't believe the Rams won that game.

<> My woeful Skins are 0-2 and already bickering and squabbling in the locker room. Oh well…NEXT season is our year.

Stillers OL is allowed to hold and jump off-sides. Just have to accept it for what it is and also not fumble.

Still better than being a Colts fan. Score 55 points and still 0-2. Mercy!

I was complaining about the holds the entire game. Lance McAlister has a bunch of vines showing the missed calls. Regardless, the Bengals ineffectiveness in the redzone is why they lost the game, not the refs.

Well, in all fairness…if you want to get real technical about it…you could actually call holding on damn near every play in every NFL game regardless of the teams playing. They only call it in the NFL when it is blatant.

For the most part i think that game was evenly called. With the exception of the fumble call of course. Most definitely should have been overturned.

I'm sure the Bengals O line had some holds that I didn't see. I'd be a fool to assert otherwise. However, the Steelers had a few blatant ones that were missed. It was frustrating. I think the refs were an absolute joke and the Steelers had some calls go against them. The PI they gave to Green was a joke and should've resulted in a Bengals TD had they converted from the 1 yard line. It may have been even as far as which team got the benefit of the call, but it was a really bad showing for the officials.

I would hope most Bengal fans would be upset with some of the calls while still acknowledging that the Bengals were miserable in the redzone yesterday.

What happens is the bengals couldn't run and couldn't get the ball to AJ Green. That's it!

Quit crying about other things that are meaningless if that happens.

K, thanks!

The difference between the botched fumble call and the other bad calls (or bad non-calls) that everyone brings up is that the refs reviewed this one and still got it wrong.

And I'm not saying that the Bengals lost because of the refs, either. They still had to go about 30 more yards AND get the 2-pt conversion just to force overtime.

That's something the eiffert absence really hurts.

Regardless, there's no point in bengals' fans watching games against the stealers anymore. We may win a few meaningless ones, but anytime it's for a playoff spot or in the playoffs, the stripes will make sure the stealers win.

Cue the jaw flapping by a bunch of water heads who have never stepped foot in the state of Pennsylvania.

Dur.. Dur.. Dur..

Nothing matters but rushing stats and a single WR in a single possession game when the losing team was 35 yards and a 2 pt conversion from tying the game.

And there it is. Love my winter fixes of your crazy *** takes and completely irrational and overly emotional takes on the Bengals and Steelers games.

The Steelers outplayed the Bengals. Missed fumble or missed holding calls aside, the Steelers played better. I think both teams are evenly matched and the game in Cincinnati should be a good one. Nothing from that game makes me think any different of the 2 teams. Both have very good chances at 10 win seasons.

That is the issue and the problem. NFL officiating is bad. A knee down has always voided any fumble if the ball comes out after the knee is down which was the case here. I guess if it had been the Patriots or the Broncos that call is reversed.

Hence the quit crying about things that are meaningless IF AJ gets the ball and Cinci rushes successfully.

How is a bown turnover call less significant than rushing stats? So if Cincy had like 80 more rushing yards that came between the 20s it would matter... How? Do you even understand the ******* sport?

I mean seriously... If AJ had caught 15 passes for 280 yards but Hill fumbled every time on the 1 yard line, how would those individual stats matter? Do you realize how dumb you sound?

Considering TOP was in favor of Pitt, and AJ only had 2 receptions and you didn't get a TD until the 4th quarter it sounds like you lived between the 20s.

Maybe if AJ gets a few more catches a momentum is created. Maybe if your Oline could block so Hill/Bernard could run they get out of the middle of the field.

Or maybe your right and Cinci sucks too bad to never get on the other side of the 20s.

Why does that penalty matter if your not running and getting the ball to AJ anyway anywhere but within the 20s, they weren't scoring per your logic.

You sound defeated no matter how much logic I present.

Loser!

Is there nothing we can agree on here? How about the Redskins sucking and Jay Gruden already having to deal with that sawed-off, self-important, tyranically lunatic Dan Snyder? Lose to the Giants this week and it'll become immensely entertaining to be a Skins hater in the DC area...

Yep most likely if AJ Green has 15 receptions he gets them all between the 20s.

Christ! When has he ever had that kind of an impact on a game to get 15 catches and not actually impact the game.

Idiot.

According to Lance McAlister the NFL has been taking down his vines of the missed holding calls. He always posts vines of plays from the Bengals games and I don't think this has been an issue. Again, it's not why the Bengals lost but it's a bad look for the NFL.

Nice win by the Titans. It's good for such a young team to learn how to come from behind and win ugly. And I mean ugly....some 30+ combined penalties in the game.

And darn it....LA Rams won.....possibly messing up our #1 draft pick in 2017.

When blind Dan Fouts points them out, you know they happened. Marvin took the high road by not pointing fingers but when the head of officiating can look at the video and say the Boyd fumble wasn't conclusive, the fix is in. The special teams fumble by Pitt was a good call but their OL has consistently gotten away with things over the years.

But what about John Wall wearing a Cowboys jersey and hanging out with Dez on the sidelines ??? I mean he plays for Washington, game is there, and he is out here repping the Cowboys. Probably the reason he is one of my favorite players. He gives no Touches. I can kind of understand Washington fans giving him a little **** over it, be hey, it is his favorite team, he has a right to support them, even if it means wearing the opposing teams jersey in front of the home crowd.

Good thing about the Cowboys is they could easily be 2-0, bad thing is, they could easily be 0-2. Love the poise Dak is showing, just expand the playbook a little, Zek take care of the fumbling, and they maybe can make a little run. Defense has been surprising mediocre. I thought they would be UK bad, but not so far...

Go Texans!

I'm a Houston fan. Root for them and love the city. (I hate the NFL tho)

From Cincinnati but hate them. So don't tell me I need to root for a team.

But I respect and root for the patriots against most teams.

Your first post makes little to no sense.. You're a Texans fan but hate the NFL? From Cincy but hate them? You respect the most cheating franchise in the NFL and root for them to win? Despite being an eventual roadblock for Houston, should they ever be a contender?

But the 2nd is spot on. Idc how decorated he is as the end of his career.. He's proving more and more that he's a product of the system. Houston was an upstart team and just got blanked (as of writing this), by a 3rd string qb on his first start with a hobbled Gronk..

Peyton >>>>>>> Brady
