That ending from 2:30 min was insane. Boswell hits it off upright. 2 15 yard penalties against Steelers. Detroit calls last timeout and then officials call timeout for review preserving timeout for Detroit. Detroit moves down inside 10 and stops clock with the preserved timeout with 16 seconds left .
Touchdown Detroit wins game. Wait. Opi. Moves back to 11. Center moves and ball goes to 16. 2 dropped balls. 8 seconds. Goff to receiver catches it and is tackled at 1 back to 3 forward progress stopped? But laterals to Goff and he runs it in for game winning touchdown. Oh wait flag for opi.
Receiver pushed off to catch it.
Steelers win.

another heart attack game for the Steelers and they win!!

Lions fans can boo all they want, but that was as blatant an OPI as you can have. Can’t believe they didn’t whistle ARSB down after two guys ran him back 5 yards.
Which one? The final play or the touchdown that got overturned? If on the touchdown, that was a textbook pick.

Yea all the penalties against the Steelers on a touchdown and 2 15 yarders on the last drive really favored the Steelers. lol.
Really. I was watching the last couple minutes and I thought the refs were giving the game to Detroit. Maybe they were. Detroit had every opportunity to punch it in and couldn't. I do agree that the NFL is rigged - too much sports betting going on for the games to remain "pure."

I will say that Rogers is really proving his worth with the Steelers. I think it was Romo said that he's settled in and doing a good job, the team is starting to gel. There's something to be said for experience, and Rogers is as cool as a cucumber on the field.

Had 80 allowed himself to be tackled in bounds with 3:12 to go, the ending may have been different. Why he went out of bounds and stopped the clock was beyond me.

We thought we heard the whistle while he was being run backwards.

Detroit decimated by injuries and yet it comes down once again for Tomlin and the steelers down to the wire. So many mistakes in what was a total domination. Earlier did a franklin and called timeout when Detroit was Against the ropes with 4th down. Detroit adjusts the play call and scores a td. Always so
Nice to have it come down to the wire week after week
And once the Steelers are one & done in the playoffs, the desperately tired fan base will have to keep hearing about how Coach T has never had a losing season…again. For as many trophies as the organization has in its case, the current contentment with living in 9-win mediocrity is just so numbing. Too bad to make a legitimate run…too good to draft a true difference-maker. We’re in football purgatory!!

Yea I knew when Rodgers finally signed that Tomlins career would be extended. That guy maybe the top 5 all time smartest qbs ever. He just knows what is going on and moves his guys around as the game progresses.

So right. He is so aware of the situation. Like the one play where he ran out of bounds instead of throwing it away, knowing if he did that, they'd be penalized for linemen down field.

@PSU Mike

I was on the treadmill watching Rex Ryan saying that the first call (the pick that lead to the “touchdown”) was 100% the wrong call and the second call was 100% the right call. Lol, that’s Jim for you, you should always keep that in mind.

Which is great…if it’s 2015. What’s the plan when he’s gone? Will Howard? Everything with this organization is about now, with seemingly no contingencies for the future.

Tomlin’s got this.
Tomlin’s greatest strength is rallying to clean up the messes that his teams/staff create (and avoiding a losing season).

God forbid he goes into any game with a poor game-plan…if he’s asked to win based on in-game adjustments, they’re screwed.

On the late play before the Boswell missed FG, Rodgers should have ran up to the line and taken the sack to keep the clock going. Instead he threw it away to stop the clock which helped Detroit.

They don't use Pat F. much either. I think I've seen 3 maybe 4 targets for him in 2 games.
Tomlin has to make sure Cam's brother gets playing time. I think they said last week that Rodgers has a rating of like 133 when targeting Freiermuth. It's asinine that he's not used more.

Without DK they almost need to play him at WR
