Please use this thread for all games played in the NFL for Week 18 (1/3 & 1/4), with the exception of the Eagles - Commanders game, which will have its own thread.

Some playoff standings to be determine based on Week 18 results, as well as some in-or-out situations with teams regarding the playoffs.

Bump.

Carolina-Tampa Bay at 4:30 ET is for a playoff spot. (Not quite accurate, see below.) I have a soft spot for Baker. He’s totally full of himself and, imo, slightly crazy but I can’t help rooting for the guy.

Seattle-SF at 8:00 ET is for the NFC #1 seed.

If TB wins, that doesn't necessarily clinch a playoff spot for them (or eliminate Carolina). A Falcons victory over the Saints would then create a 3-way tie with Carolina winning the tiebreaker.

Well corrected, Bernard.

Pouring rain in Tampa Bay, a deluge. I just turned on the game (I was watching The Adventures of Robin Hood on TCM, never gets old), and ten snaps is telling me that the passing games are gonna be bad today.

And, just like that, Baker with a really bad interception, how a NFL quarterback could not see the linebacker right there is beyond me.

Pouring down in the Tampa St. Pete area. Dry south of there as it is here in Sarasota.

Some interesting tidbits: Tampa Bay’s opponents have scored 22 of the last 23 Red Zone opportunities. (Carolina just scored.)

Carolina goes for it on 4th down 33% of the time, successful on 66% of those tries.

I can’t see New Orleans beating Atlanta.

Watching Trent Williams (inactive) during the warmups. It hurt when he left Washington.

Seattle gets a pass interference call in the end zone, ball at the one. First play is a pass and Darnold decides to hold onto the ball when it’s an easy touchdown, gets sacked. What a horrible, amateur decision. Seattle ended up getting zero points, Darnold cost them seven.

Agreed, but Seattle has to take the 3 points there. Terrible decision.

Niners were moving the ball on their best drive of the game, and then this happened (in the 4th qtr.):

Seattle dominated tonight.

after the way the Niners played last weekend, I wasn't expecting this. Seattle has had a great season, and gets the #1 seed with the win. Sam Darnold doesn't have the best reputation when playing in pressure situations, but I give him credit for his performance tonight.

Saints 7-13 Buccaneers at maybe 7:30 3Q. (I’m watching RedZone.) Advantage Charlotte.

Watching bits and pieces of Cleveland-Cincinnati and this Cleveland defender had a chance to legally hammer Burrow and laid up.

OTOH, Dallas and NYG each had a player kicked out of the game.

Two bad Steeler moves , 1. DK fan interaction , 2. the person dropping a lung on TJ with dry needling , shouldn’t happen .
Going to be some serious banging going on tonight . Winning team will be sore going into next week .

My favorite student was the quarterback on our college's team. One Monday he comes into class a little gimpy. Me: "You must have been a little sore yesterday." "You have no idea."

Looking forward to Tomlin being "Franklined" after tonight. He's the patron saint of NFL mediocrity.
