Bears overloaded one side, and blocked the kick (which would have put the Raiders in the lead, with @ 30 sec. left in the game.

Is there a more overrated organization year to year than the crows? Harbaugh is a mediocre coach at best. Jackson is wildly overrated.

A trivial thought while watching players introduce themselves in tonight's Pack vs. Cowboys game. Why, even though they make millions, do NFL players look like homeless people and service men and women, who make very little, look like a million bucks?

@Grant Green (or other analytics guys) - I spent time after the DAL/GB game last night trying to think through the best bet if you win the toss now in OT. I was really torn on it...then I see this article on ESPN this morning that basically tells me that everyone is torn on it. Thoughts? I lean to taking the ball (think the potential for getting the 3rd possession outweighs the knowledge gained from going 2nd...but it's definitely a tough one).

The article mentions factoring style of play, team strengths, etc. which makes sense since it could shift the odds enough to affect the decision. If you are a team that can grind clock, maybe take the ball first (caveat below). If you are a fast offense and you are gashing the other team with the pass, maybe go second. Ultimately, I agree. Lean to take it first. Just seems like slightly more advantages.

Oh, and since this came up a few years ago in the KC vs SF super bowl. If the first team scores a TD and the second team scores a TD, second team should definitely go for 2.

Caveat: Interesting rule for regular season. If the first team bleeds the clock (not allowing 2nd team to get possession) and scores, the result is a tie since both teams didn't get chance to have ball.
