Anyone watching? I've been a Capitals fan all my life. I have vague memories of being a kid and seeing them during their expansion season. 5 of the 6 games they had against Toronto went to OT but at least they made it through it. I think it's a load of crap the way they do the playoffs now. They have to play Pittsburgh in the second round. Think about that, the 2 teams with the best records in the league have to play in the conference semi-finals. Hopefully they can pull it out this year because their window of opportunity is closing.

Yep. Went to Games 3, 4, and 5 of the Blue Jackets-Pens series.

Huge CBJ fan but kinda knew they were toast heading into it. Should have finished 4th.

Yeah, crazy how they do it. Columbus had the 3rd best record in the conference and 4th best record in the entire league and get stuck with Pittsburgh in the first round.

The playoff system in the NHL is the worst of the major sports. Two best teams in the league playing in the second round is a joke.

Pens fan - we won the cup last year and own Washington in the playoffs, so the pressure is on them, but I don't love the Pens chances without Matt Murray.

I have no geographic ties to any of my pro sports teams, but I love the hockey playoffs and never had a hockey team, so I entered all the teams into a random list generator and drew the Blues as my team a few years ago. Fun series last time around. Next one should be fun with Nashville too.

FUN FACT: The St. Louis Blues appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals in their first 3 years of existence because of the expansion teams all being in one division opposite the original 6. They got swept all three years and have only been to the conference finals three times since then.

So if you know my teams, the Blues just fit.

Lifelong Rangers fan. Was fortunate enough to be at the Garden the last time we won. I do agree, the playoff format is heavily flawed. But playoff hockey is hard to beat.

Long time Blues fan here.

Looking forward to getting underway tonight and have tickets for Game 3 in Nashville.

While I love the Stanley Cup Playoffs, I'm not of fan of the divisional setup they've gone to over the last couple years....and has been completely unfair to the Metropolitan teams this year.

A seeded 1-8 make so much more sense for competitive balance that Bettman would never do it.

But....in the end its a grinder to get to 16 wins no matter who you play, that's what makes it so compelling.

Good luck to all those who still have their teams in the mix.
