Is it just me? the announcers keep calling Washington State "Wazoo". I thought that was what Washington U was nicknamed.

Miami had an illegal block in the back penalty overturned on the replay. I didn't know that was reviewable.

Looks like there may have multiple blocks in the back and before a lateral a players knee was on the ground

Yep, I just rewatched it on ESPN. Knee was down. I saw at least one block, probably two, in the back (non reviewable). This goes down with the OU\Oregon debacle we lived through. Someone needs to be fired.........

I heard the review by officials was about 9 minutes long??? Acc has shown a unique ability in the past to cover their refs' screwups

You're right about that. I finally saw a replay. I'd read that they picked up a flag based upon the replay, but I never saw a flag during the play. Regardless, it was pretty clear to me that a knee was down on the lateral in question.

Soldier, I knew a Big 12 ref from the Stillwater area. He hated OU in private conversations. He later became a recall ref.............Just saying.

BTW, I'm not telling it all....

I hate Miami more than any other program in the NCAA, but that was a pretty cool play. I've read where teams will spend the last 10 - 15 minutes of each practice on the "pitch out play." I hope we never have to resort to that to win a game, but if that's what it takes to win, then so be it.

Miami kickoff reviewed and 8 laterals later canes win on last play of game

I've seen the replay about five times now and the number of blocks in the back keeps going up. They only called the one that might have been disputable, but decided against it in discussion. The guys on the field and the replay guy who decided the knee wasn't down, have no guts.

I've seen four blocks in the back, including the worst one at about the Miami ten while things are just getting started. How those guys of all people should get away with that was really about the only bad thing about yesterday.

The ACC suspended a bunch of officials over this deal. Too bad for Duke.
