Is the current rule that NIL has to be totally independent of the college administration, AD and coaching staff? That is it is between player and the company with the NIL $$$ to purchase NIL value from the player. Is this the current rule, or has there been a change? So if some companies are not coming forward with NIL $$$ deals for players, the school really cannot do anything to make it happen. The school cannot direct these NIL companies to go pay $$$ to a certain player.
I also think the NIL $$$ must be for the player to provide service or some other type of use of their brand for the company hiring them, and that the $$$ cannot be for playing, performance in games or attending a certain school.
If a school got involved with directing these funds, wouldnt they be afoul of the NCAA rules and could be punished? That is not interfering with the player's right to get NIL $$, as the school is independent of the player and NIL company.
