Have to go Tue. Anniversary with the wife. Bumpy isn't so bad on a short flight like Fla. Weather hasn't been great down there either. Is what it is.
ah ha. Didn't realize you're heading that way. Hopefully a decent size plane. THAT was my concern flying a small regional jet operated by some 25 year old on Frontier. plus I'm just making a trip to be there when they drill a safe deposit box we found in my wife's mom's estate who recently passed.

They have no key . have been paying on it for nearly 20 years and believe it could possibly be empty. I kid you not.

I have spent two months getting all the documents in line , notarized, and submitted granting me the authority to do this for the family. Last month I was all set to go down to Jax to do this then at the last minute the bank calls to notify me the box is really located down near Ft. Myers. They had the wrong bank number listed. So what's another couple of weeks when I can go see the bball game lol. (sorry for the long story).

Well they helped me make my mind up trying to decide Rutgers or Devils. Season's ticket holder for both. Went on as soon as I received the email from the ticket office and nothing available near my normal seats and I wasn't going to the nose bleed seats. First place Devils game it is. Go Knights!!!

Yes, they are. But the @RutgersRiotSquad is trying to drum up attendance. Rutgers is paying for their tickets as an added incentive.

I'm hoping to see some clever sayings on the white board . Starting with " we were screwed"
Back in the 60’s one of the football game cheers was:
”Nut and bolts, nuts and bolts. We got screwed”
Also the elevator cheer” Elevator, elevator. We got the shaft”

Hoping it's gold bars in there after going through all that.😂

I'll wait for the "What was in the Safe Deposit Box" thread. Will Geraldo be there?

Well, to be honest pretty pumped about the seats we got Row D of 113.

Sorry to whoever seasons they are but my kids are pumped as well. We’ve never been that close.

This! I’m not happy about Rutgers, typically, not having a process already in place to allow season ticket holders their seats or equivalent (opt in, auto pay, etc), but I’m also happy to see budding fans get a shot at good seats. I sit in row A and absolutely love my seats. There are times I can’t make the game and will give them to friends/family/neighbors with kids. It’s great to hear what an awesome time they had… I dare say I think I helped create several young Rutgers fans over the years.

By the time I got to the email yesterday the 100’s were full so I had to go the stub hub route. I’ll be seeing it from a different vantage point across from my normal seats. No worries.

PS - I’m keeping an eye on the folks in my seats to make sure they don’t stick any bubblegum under my seat 😂

This is not a Rutgers home game. It's an NCAA sanctioned tournament game. They set the rules for ticket sales, and the rules say all tickets have to be made available to everyone at the same time. Schools are not allowed to give season ticket holders preference. Someone posted that yesterday.

They did in the past if a previous poster was accurate So I’m not sure if we’re getting all the facts here. Nonetheless I added “or equivalent” seats since not all season ticket holders will attend and since the opponent numbers will be pretty low there certainly would be seats available to do this. If allowed they should have a process that pre-sells sections via opt-in indicated at renewal time. It is done elsewhere and in other sports.

One last point … if the NCAA prohibited a home team from exercising some discretion on how they sell tickets then the email from RU would not have said due to ”time constraints“ and would certainly said due to “NCAA rules.” Also aren’t all of our games NCAA sanctioned to some degree?

PS - Rutgers playing a game at the RAC/JMA is a home game, the NCAA deemed our MSU game at MSG a home game… so not sure what your statement “ this is not a Rutgers home game” even means.

Depends on your religion

In North Jersey, the further West the better imo

Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon , much better way of life. Nicer people.

Western Morris county too.

I’d think Route 287 running from the NY State border down to Route 78 can be the dividing line.

I'm going to Rutgers. But excited for Devils playoff run. I live nearby to the Rock and will be attending some more games.
