Pathetic...team stopped playing...17 point lead down to 8...did this earlier this year..now must makw free throws
Sa should not be out there when all they're trying to do is foul. He completely sucks at FT.
Maybe when you consider the caliber of teams we played the last three games, it makes it hard to get the intensity up for these games but we sure made this harder than it had to be

Got through the trap game. Time to reset and hope they dominate FDU
NJIT played our game of last year.... miss every shot, prosper on offensives boards.
The team looked gassed probably from the MSU & Minny game. Luckily Sanders was scoring.
20 turnovers unacceptable. 50% fts also unacceptable. SHould of been a 20+ game.

They played like they were mentally and physically tired. Can't blame them, had a rough schedule. They pulled it out and thats all that matters.
Come on guys, relax. Everyone knew or should have known this was a classic trap game. It doesn't matter what Pike instilled in them before the game. They're still kids and still believed they can out-talent a,team like NJIT. I knew,we would win and I wasn't surprised how lethargic we,came out. We won. We're 7-3. That's all that matters right now.

You can't use this game to predict how Rutgers will do in the Big. They were tired , emotionally spent , and just not in it for portions of the game. The number of turnovers , failure to box out on defense , and the number of offensive rebounds allowed NJIT just not characteristic of the team's play this year. Even the crowd was flat. Be glad we got the "W" and move on to the FDU game.
Bullock doesn't play at all, and Mensah plays poorly. If there were a way to open both those schollie spots next year, that'd be a help to the team.
Sa is gone next year anyway, so we're not going to be carrying him - he lead the team with 8 boards and 3 blocks in 18 min tonight, even though he doesn't really bring much offensively.
some of you guys are seriously overreacting here. Certainly wasn't one for the time capsule but you knew there was going to be a bit of a letdown after playing 3 top teams in a row and now on 1 day rest.
just because we played crappy today shouldn't erase the fact that we played 2 good and 1 decent games against top competition
