No Big Ten stop write-up by Gerry Ritardo? Does not seem high on PSU from his PU comments

Did I miss the write-up (not that it is worth much). He is very high on UM again..and OSU of course. Not saying we deserve any recognition but BTN seems to have skipped our summary. We can glean that he does not think much of course from PU summary

Gerry Dinardo - Tour schedule

GoldandBlack.com: Does Purdue pass the eyeball test?

DiNardo: Yeah, I think this team looks like most of the other Big Ten teams. They all are basically built the same, except Ohio State separates itself. Michigan separates itself, Penn State to a certain degree. So, basically, we're talking about recruiting rankings, right? And then after those three ... there's that group in the middle of the Big Ten that looks pretty similar. And it comes down to non-conference games, crossover foes and coaching.

GoldandBlack.com: Does Purdue have a legit chance to win the West?

DiNardo: Yes. I thought that before I even watched them because I had already seen the other six (West teams). And I had a feeling what Purdue was going to look like, and then I was more convinced than ever after I watched.

Look at your schedule, right? I'm a soft non-conference guy. I think the Purdue blackout Thursday night game vs. Penn State is perfect. Ordinarily, I wouldn't think that way. But I just think it's a great game. (The Nittany Lions) have a new defense, it's a home game for Purdue. I'm guessing it's gonna be pretty wild in that stadium. It seems to me if you are going to play a top opponent the first game, sure seems like a good set up to do it.

I didn't get that vibe at all. It seems he sees PSU as the #3 team in the conference. He was looking at the opening game from the Purdue perspective and how it should be a great atmosphere. He also calls Penn State "a top opponent". I don't have a problem with any of his thoughts.

I guess it’s easy for us to be overlooked and underappreciated, not that this was happening in this particular instance. It didn’t happen when we were a perennial top-ten team, go figure.

Yea he gave us props and said our defense is new which is true. It couldn’t stop arkansas so.. who knows.

I don’t get the criticism of the OP. PS is 11-11 over the last two years. Let’s be honest, PS has not been very good since the B1G Championship. It’s all there for PS but they have to prove it on the field. Win big games!!!!!! Is Franklin up to it???

Maybe by the year 2555 most of you will finally realize that the BIG is a Midwest centric conference (despite Rutgers fans assertions that they provide all the TV revenue and league respectability). Always was, always will be, and I’m not advocating that we leave. Just wait and see how USC and UCLA are treated by the corn feed media, and then we’ll all feel better despite the slights, both real and imaginary.

I brought this up bc apparently, Gerry went to every school and watched practice. He gave up a write up on what he saw, not just past performance. Our defense has some new starters and new DC but I would not call it a 'new defense'. Our DL and secondary have alot of experience. PJ and Adisa coming back. LB would be weak point but Jacobs played alot in 2022. Sutherland in program forever - a leader and serviceable, like Luketa. Elsdon is new face, along with Buddin and King. Just seems disrespectful to ignore us and not sure why.

Where are all these DiNardo write ups? He sends a few tweets on each stop.
You copied a transcript from a Purdue reporter from a Purdue website who asked DiNardo questions. He is not out here writing columns from stops that I can see.

You mean putting these FR into starting roles against fast, 250lb QB did not produce great tacking results..shocking

Amin Vanover
Dvon Ellies
Smith Vilbert
Coziah Izzard
Jaylen Reed
Marquis Wilson
Jordan Van Den Berg

Honestly, I think CJF pretty much treated this game as one to get reps on D for 2022. The offense did not impress bc no running game as usual, blocking terrible and Clifford made bad choices under duress..

Uh they had two and we had six. That is a huge difference. The FR got fooled on QB option handoff time and time again. Jefferson was no chump running ball. They will learn. It had nothing to due with physicality or talent. They were there but went for RB over and over

Gerry Ritardo? What are you, six?

Language like that just might get you on the PSUBOT!

Here you go, bud:

"The message is as a culture, we can't let this happen again," Gerry DiNardo of the Big Ten Network told The Mully and Hanley Show. "The message is we don't want to put people in power for that long. The message is a coach should never be stronger than anyone else. The message is our children are first before anything else. The message is just because I report something to a suoerior, that doesn't mean I'm done. I have to make sure action is taken -- even if it costs me my job. There are a million messages, and maybe in this horrid story, that's the good that comes from this."

Yea we have the same players back that played in that game so it will take time for them to develop. So rretardo was right.

Domer Gerry is a turd. Kinda ironic he was shizcanned by none other than Markie Mark Emmert at LSU after back-to-back disastrous seasons.

I know what he said. I get that. My point is that by referring to him as “Ritardo” it makes you sound like a child or, even worse, a well-known poster who frequently and disrespectfully used the derogatory term “retarded” and is now member of the BOT. That’s all.

Except you are the spelling a word that I purposely did not spell bc idiots like you exist and would rather word fight than add any value.

In the past he has shown decent respect for us. Unfortunately Ohubris State get’s all the rave reviews. SSDY.

Listen, you piece of ****. Purposefully misspelling a word doesn't make it OK. The meaning and intent are perfectly clear. Maybe if you weren't such a j*ck*ss you'd understand that.

Get it now?

Listen, I don't know you and that wasn't meant as a personal attack. It's just that, as a dad of 25-year old son with autism and a pretty significant developmental/intellectual disability, I've personally experienced him being called some of the most hateful and abhorrent names you can imagine (including the R word). As a result, I will call out anyone who uses it (as I have done before on this and the previous board), regardless of context or spelling.

I'm not looking for a fight, but I hope this helps explains why I reacted as I did.

Now, regarding that "idiot" crack...
