Good ol' "Welcome to the Shows"

Doug has just become an awful ref. I'm surprised that we didn't have as many foul calls as we did.

I don't normally say this about us, but we got away with quite a bit of physicality last night

The refs let us take our aggression out on Loyola. I assume the refs had us to cover.
I would agree normally, but having us to cover doesn't explain why the didn't give us the 2 points for that goal tend... it was a weird called game for sure... like the others said, they just wanted to go home, no time to review or call fouls lol

It was. I didn’t complain though. It’s nice to watch a basketball game instead of a FT shooting competition.
It was nice to watch a game that the refs didn't take over. I'll trade a missed call for that any day. Well, unless we lose by one or two. I wonder if better officiating is related to the lack of "go to the monitor". Hope it remains this way the rest of the season.

Yeah I agree. Flow of the game was much better and I like it best when they let them play. It just seemed odd.

I'm mixed on this... I don't like it when officials try to overstep. And, as much as I hate a FT shooting competition, what I hate even more is when coaches don't coach their teams to play basketball, so they just decide to make it rugby on hardwood. In those cases, officials need to punish that junk.

All it would take is for the national officiating to call it according to the rules for 1 season... when 1/2 the team fouls out before halftime a few games, coaches would be forced to adjust and actually coach basketball.
