With Collins there is still hope. He can still recruit but we have not had a Reggie Hearn story for a while. The football team, although partially due to numbers,does have development surprises most years. Zeke, Austin Carr, and this year RCB at WR, BJ at DB and CP were three surprises. NU will eventually have some stories like these on the bball side. In BBAll One surprise player a year makes a program.

Rebound battle going well so far vs. the #4 team in the country.

A couple of things which were pretty evident tonight:

1) No improvement. Players come to Northwestern not to get better. Tonight, we saw no improvement from Kopp, Beran, and Nance. Boo is really no better than last year. Our shooting is terrible. Absolutelty terrible. Improvement or player development comes from the coaching staff. The only player who seems to have improved was Young. So much for the coaching;

Improved quite a bit in 2 weeks

Most impressive stat was the lack of 2nd chance points for Michigan State. Never seen that before.
