why do all you people think les miles is going to turn this program around when he can't score 20 points a game with heisman trophy level players and 5 star recruits at every position. We got a guy that would take the job in a heartbeat that won 10 or 11 games 3 straight years at texas tech with the worst facilities in the conference in the middle of nowhere in lubbock texas and then he goes to wash state and wins 9 games last year at a school with the worst facilities in major conference football and he hangs 50 and beats nike university tonight but nobody wants to give him any mention because he's not a kiss *** and i realize our chicken **** AD won't hire him but maybe if we can get a new AD he would bring in the only man for the job THE PIRATE. And he wants to come it would be a big step up for him . Les miles won't put in the effort here he has already won a national championship and he knows that isn't going to happen here so he just wants to pad his pocketbook for a few more years before heading off to a life of luxury . CAN MITCH AND STOOPS AND BRING ON THE PIRATE .
I couldn't agree more! I've been a huge advocate for hiring Mike Leach ever since Guy Morriss left. The man knows how to field a winning football team from scraps and has won at places that are historically tough to recruit to and have some of the worst football facilities in the nation. Think about what he could do at UK with the facilities and school support we have now? Not to mention he helped create the air raid offense with Hal Mumme. The guy is slightly crazy too, and I think we need someone like that to make UK relevant. I predict that if Stoops is cut loose after this season and Mike Leach is hired, that we would be experiencing 8 and 9 win seasons within his first 3 years at the helm.
I CAN NOT speak more emphatically about this: Mike Leach SHOULD ALREADY BE COACHING HERE! He loves Kentucky and has spoken numerous times publicly of his desire to return to the bluegrass state. He succeeds at schools that are considered the door mats of power 5 conferences and fields tough, winning teams with scraps. If that doesn't spell Kentucky Football then I don't know what does. Mitch has dropped the ball on this not once, not twice, but three times. If he allows this man to get away a fourth time then MB should be immediately fired because the man is clearly not doing his job.
Whats sad is that if Mike Leach had been hired back in 2003, I think he'd not only still be at UK, but we'd be a perennial 8-9 win a year team by now.
