I've often argued the Media "lies with the Truth". By that I mean not reporting important facts of an existing story, or distorting the facts of a story by carefully omitting key elements of it in order to either persuade a particular agenda & point of view or support one. They also just choose not to report on certain stories that don't fit an agenda.

Here is one such example. During the past campaign, Hillary Clinton accused Donald Trump of being a 'racist', because he favored a Police technique called "stop-n-frisk". Without going into all of the details why that is not "racist" she accused Trump and others who support this Law enforcement technique of not only being racist but insisting
the technique itself is unconstitutional.

Never has it been reported as to it's effectiveness in solving or preventing crime. It is only presented in the Media as an unfair application to Minorities, and it's presented that way by the Media to reinforce the racist charge.

You won't see the Media hardly ever report when it helps Police solve a major crime as it did in this particular case in the arrest of a brutal murderer of a New York City jogger. You cannot find this story of 'stop-n-frisk' solving this horrific crime anywhere in any major media publication or broadcast. Not the way you frequently hear them blaring the 'racist' charge when it is applied or complained about by social activists from the Left.

Lying with the Truth.

ATL, I have posted over and over again about the hard news media being corrupt, not just biased. They pick what news to cover, what news to avoid and then they pick the slant and the effect they want. Total corruption. There are a few good journalists left, but not many. I think Jake Tapper is fair, for example.

I have always supported stop and frisk if done constitutionally. Obviously, to be most effective, cops need to be in neighborhoods where the crimes are being committed. Their stops need to have a basis, some suspicion. It will be taken to court and ultimately SCOTUS will decide.

If SCOTUS approves, I would use this technique in all major cities or other locations with huge crime problems. It does save lives, just look at NYC. Even the very liberal mayor of NYC, Michael Bloomberg supported it.

Ironically PAX this is why the technique works to curve crime in areas where it is rampant, and most folks in the communities effected by high crime support its use.

And it does work, as this case proved.

However, the Media will almost never report when it is effective. You will only hear about how "unfair" it is. They will only report how "discriminatory" it is (even though it involves people highly suspected in high crime areas) and you will never hear of any support for it in those very communities where it is highly supported.

Just like they (Media) will never report how enthusiastically poor people support vouchers and school choice to get their kids out of failing schools. It's only reported as a "give-away" to rich White people.

Once again "Lying with the truth'.

They are not only corrupt PAX, they are incompetent.

I disagree a little ATL. I think they. are extremely competent. They know exactly what they are doing. It is a well planned and executed strategy.

No real argument with you here PAX. I still call them 'incompetent' even though they do know what they are doing, you are correct about that Sir.

They however insist they are not biased, but in my opinion they're incompetent because they don't even realize how corrupt and biased they are.
